There is no universal best alternative to o9 Solutions for enterprise planning. Kinaxis Maestro is a natural candidate to compare when concurrent, scenario-led planning is central; SAP Integrated Business Planning and Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Planning may suit organizations whose ERP environment shapes the decision; Blue Yonder may merit a closer look when execution capabilities are also in scope; and Anaplan emphasizes connections between supply chain and financial planning. Logility, OMP and ToolsGroup also appear among alternatives considered by o9 users, but the available evidence does not support ranking their differentiators against the others here.
How to read this shortlist
Gartner Peer Insights lists Kinaxis Maestro, Logility Decision Intelligence, Blue Yonder Supply Chain Planning, SAP Integrated Business Planning, Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Planning, ToolsGroup SO99+, OMP Unison Planning and Anaplan as alternatives considered by o9 Digital Brain users. That makes the list a useful starting point for discovery—not proof that the products are functionally equivalent, endorsements, or a ranking of what will work best for your organization. Gartner says Peer Insights reviews reflect individual end-user opinions.

| Planning need or context | Platforms to investigate | What the available evidence supports |
|---|---|---|
| Concurrent planning and scenario-led decisions | Kinaxis Maestro | CIOPages characterizes Kinaxis and o9 as planning-led, concurrent, scenario-first options for demand, supply and inventory decisions. |
| Existing ERP environment materially shapes the choice | SAP Integrated Business Planning; Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Planning | CIOPages describes SAP and Oracle as ERP-anchored options; each vendor documents its own planning scope. |
| Planning alongside supply chain execution | Blue Yonder Supply Chain Planning | Blue Yonder presents planning alongside warehouse and transportation management offerings. |
| Connections between operational and financial planning | Anaplan | Anaplan describes connections across supply chain, finance, sales, HR and retail; ISG also includes it among its overall S&OP leaders. |
| Additional candidates to screen | Logility Decision Intelligence; OMP Unison Planning; ToolsGroup SO99+ | Gartner Peer Insights lists these among alternatives considered by o9 users. The evidence summarized here is not sufficient to characterize or rank their differentiators. |
These categories are starting points, not exclusive product boundaries. A vendor may cover more than one planning lane; confirm the modules, workflows and architecture that would actually be included in your project.

What the main candidates say they cover
SAP Integrated Business Planning
SAP describes IBP as a cloud-based solution powered by SAP HANA that brings together S&OP, forecasting and demand, response and supply, demand-driven replenishment, and inventory planning. Its product description includes machine-learning and planning capabilities, demand sensing, multilevel supply planning, real-time planning, and scenario simulation and comparison. SAP also describes native integration with SAP Supply Chain Control Tower and other SAP solutions. These are vendor-stated capabilities, not independent evidence of comparative performance; test the workflows and data connections your organization needs.
#1 Best Overall
Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Planning
Oracle describes its planning platform as AI-powered and part of Fusion Cloud SCM. Its stated scope includes demand management, supply planning, S&OP, supply chain collaboration, forecasting, constrained planning, production scheduling, replenishment and scenario analysis. Oracle notes that implementation depends on the selected modules, data, integrations, workflows and processes. Ask for a design based on your intended scope rather than assuming a standard package or implementation effort.
Blue Yonder Supply Chain Planning
Blue Yonder presents planning alongside warehouse, transportation and other supply chain capabilities. That wider portfolio may be relevant when the buying decision includes execution as well as planning, but a broad portfolio is not proof of depth in each workflow. Ask the vendor to demonstrate the specific planning and execution modules, their architecture and how information moves between them.
Rank #2
Anaplan
Anaplan describes a supply chain decision platform with real-time scenario and trade-off analysis and links between operational and financial planning. Its published customer examples include a reported 20% reduction in inventory carrying costs for one customer and a 5–10% forecast-accuracy increase in another example. These are Anaplan-published customer claims, not independent, directly comparable benchmarks; their results should not be treated as a forecast for your organization.

CIOPages characterizes Kinaxis as a planning-led, concurrent planning option. Its useful comparison with o9 is therefore not a generic feature-count exercise: ask both vendors to work through the same supply disruption using your network, constraints and data, then examine how changes propagate across demand, supply and inventory decisions.
Logility, OMP and ToolsGroup
These products belong on an initial market scan because Gartner Peer Insights lists them among alternatives considered by o9 users. The source material available here does not establish enough detail to describe their relative strengths or compare them fairly with the candidates above. Request demonstrations and scoped proposals against the same requirements before deciding whether to advance them.
How to compare platforms against your planning problem
- Define the binding problem. Decide whether the project is primarily about demand planning, supply constraints, inventory optimization, S&OP or IBP, network visibility, execution, financial alignment—or a defined combination. Planning, execution and multi-tier visibility are distinct buying lanes even when a vendor sells across them.
- Use one demanding scenario for every finalist. For example, introduce a supplier or capacity change and ask the team to show its effects on demand, supply, inventory, service and financial trade-offs. Evaluate response speed, explainability, workflow and the effort needed to incorporate the relevant data. This is a proposed evaluation method, not a reported product test.
- Map your data and ERP estate. Document master data, planning data, integrations, data ownership and the constraints the platform must use. Ask how each option will obtain and maintain those inputs, and identify which integrations or data changes are prerequisites for the demonstration workflows.
- Compare like-for-like project scope. Align the modules, user roles, deployment and integration design, services, change-management needs and cost horizon in each proposal. The reviewed vendor and analyst materials do not establish comparable public prices, implementation durations or buyer-specific performance; request scoped quotes and plans rather than relying on unverified market-wide figures.
- Separate screening evidence from proof of fit. Use analyst coverage to identify candidates, then validate capabilities, implementation assumptions and outcomes against your own requirements.
What analyst comparisons can—and cannot—tell you
Gartner’s abstract for Critical Capabilities for Supply Chain Planning Solutions: Process Industries, published 18 March 2026, says that assessment covers 16 vendors. Its process-industry scope matters: inclusion does not by itself establish a fit for every sector or planning use case.
Rank #4
ISG’s 2026 S&OP Buyers Guide summary says it evaluated 26 software providers and names Anaplan, Kinaxis and SAP among its overall leaders under ISG’s methodology. That is one analyst view of S&OP providers, not a universal ranking or a guarantee of implementation results. Consider each assessment’s scope and method alongside the workflows, ERP fit and delivery capacity that matter to your organization.
