Best All the Mods Server Hosting in 2026

Find the right All the Mods hosting tier: 12GB for small ATM10 or ATM9 groups, 16GB for five to 15 players, and 32GB for larger communities, with price and specification comparisons.

For All the Mods 10 (ATM10), budget about 12GB of guaranteed RAM for one to five players, 16GB for five to 15 players, and 32GB for 15 or more. ATM9 generally needs 12GB for a small group, 16GB for a typical group, and at least 20GB for a larger community, although published recommendations vary with player count and pack configuration.

The cheapest headline price is not automatically the best value. Compare guaranteed memory, CPU allocation, NVMe storage, backups, support, billing terms and refund coverage. The prices below are provider-listing snapshots captured on October 14, 2026; they were not independently verified as live quotes, so confirm the checkout price before paying.

Quick answer: how much RAM should you buy?

Pack 1–5 players 5–15 players 15+ players Planning note
All the Mods 10 12GB 16GB 32GB Space-node’s 2026 guide uses these tiers. The official server files set an 8GB Java heap, but Java and the operating system need memory outside that heap.
All the Mods 9 12GB minimum 16GB typical 20–24GB or more Published recommendations range from 8–10GB to 16GB+, largely because sources assume different group sizes and workloads.

A plan advertised with 4GB, 6GB or 8GB is therefore unlikely to be a sensible starting point for ATM10. A smaller plan can be useful for testing a clean installation, but expect to upgrade before inviting a normal group.

The following plans are the most useful comparison points in the October 14, 2026 listings. Prices are monthly snapshots, and some require annual billing or include a stated discount.

Provider and plan RAM Listed price What the listing says Important qualification
Kinetic Hosting 12GB $12.99/mo Positioned for bigger servers or many mods; NVMe storage and 24/7 human support are advertised. The listing also shows 4GB at $4.99, 8GB at $7.99 and tiers up to 124GB at $123.99. CPU allocation and backup terms still need confirmation.
MintServers Not stated as a fixed amount on the entry plan From $9.99/mo Advertises “unlimited RAM” and player slots, plus a Xeon 4.0GHz plan at the same starting price and a 24-hour money-back guarantee. “Unlimited RAM” is marketing language rather than a guaranteed capacity. The page describes ATM10 as needing 10–16GB, so ask for the exact included allocation before ordering.
WiseHosting, Ghast 12GB $17.99/mo Described as suitable for heavy modpacks such as All The Mods. The listed $11.99 Blaze plan has 8GB and the $14.99 Breeze plan has 10GB. The snapshot says the Blaze price is based on annual billing after a 50% discount.
Space-node, Standard 12GB €10.80/mo Standard tier. Premium 12GB is listed at €21.99/mo; Standard also lists 16GB at €14.40/mo and 32GB at €29.99/mo. Currency and taxes can change the final total.
ServerPrism 10GB $23.69/mo Listing includes a 10% lifetime discount. The same snapshot lists 14GB at $33.16 and 32GB at $75.80. A 10GB plan sits below the 12GB ATM10 starting recommendation.

How to interpret the table

Kinetic Hosting’s 12GB listing has the lowest clearly specified 12GB price in this group, while Space-node’s Standard 12GB listing is lower in euro terms. WiseHosting’s 12GB tier costs more but is explicitly positioned for heavy modpacks. Those are price-and-description differences, not proof of faster ticks or better uptime: no independent CPU or tick-rate benchmarks were available.

ATM9 hosting prices and capacity

Provider or reference RAM and price in the listing Billing or scope
WiseHosting 10GB at $23.99/mo; 12GB at $28.79/mo The 12GB figure is billed annually in the snapshot; the listed price is reduced from $35.99.
MintServers From $9.99/mo with “unlimited RAM”; a tier with a 32GB guaranteed minimum at $19.99/mo Confirm what RAM is actually assigned to an ATM9 instance and whether the guarantee applies continuously.
ServerPrism 12GB at $28.43/mo, 16GB at $37.90/mo, 20GB at $47.38/mo Figures include the listed 10% lifetime discount.
HytHost Premium plans from €11.65/mo for 9GB, scaling to 30GB The starting 9GB tier is below the 12GB planning minimum for a small ATM9 group.
DatHost guide $35–$50/mo for 12–16GB This is a general estimate for heavy modpacks serving 15–20 players, not a quoted ATM9 plan.

ATM9 figures disagree because “recommended” can mean a lightly populated server, a normal group, or a heavily explored world with many loaded chunks. WiseHosting’s guide gives 8–10GB, GBNODES recommends 12GB for three to five players and 16GB for five to 15, and HytHost advises 16GB or more for heavy expert packs. Use 12GB as a floor, 16GB as the practical default, and 20GB or more when your community is larger or keeps many chunks active.

What makes a hosting plan suitable for All the Mods?

Guaranteed RAM, not an attractive label

Ask the host to state the amount of RAM reserved for your server and whether it can be reclaimed when the node is busy. “Unlimited RAM” does not tell you how much memory the process can actually use. A useful order confirmation should show a number such as 12GB, 16GB or 32GB and explain upgrade steps.

CPU allocation and single-thread performance

Modded Minecraft can become CPU-bound while generating terrain, running automation and processing many entities. The available listings do not provide independent processor or tick-rate benchmarks, so treat a processor name such as “Xeon 4.0GHz” as a specification to verify, not a performance guarantee. Ask whether cores are shared, dedicated or subject to a percentage limit, and whether sustained usage is throttled.

Fast storage for world saves

NVMe storage is advertised in some listings and can reduce load and save times compared with slower disks. Confirm that NVMe applies to the game node rather than only to backups, and check the disk quota: the modpack, libraries, logs, backups and generated world can all consume space.

Backups and restoration

Before installing, find out how often automated backups run, how many copies are retained, where they are stored and whether restoration is self-service. A backup on the same physical node is useful for accidental deletion but does not protect against every hardware or filesystem failure. Download an occasional copy if the provider permits it.

Support that understands modded servers

Support should be able to help with failed installations, Java process crashes, file permissions and startup logs. “24/7 human support” is listed by one provider, but response-time targets and modpack expertise are not established in these listings. Ask how support handles a server that will not start after a mod or configuration change.

Billing, currency and refunds

USD and EUR prices cannot be compared without considering exchange rates and taxes. Annual billing can produce a lower displayed monthly figure but commits you for longer. Record the renewal price, cancellation process and refund window. One listing advertises a 24-hour money-back guarantee; do not assume that term applies to every plan or to renewal payments.

How to choose the right RAM tier

  1. Count regular players, not your theoretical maximum. For ATM10, start at 12GB for one to five concurrent players, 16GB for five to 15, and 32GB for 15 or more.
  2. Add headroom for exploration and automation. If players spread across new terrain, operate large farms or keep multiple dimensions loaded, choose the next tier rather than running at the minimum.
  3. Check the host’s allocation model. Confirm that the advertised number is guaranteed memory available to your instance, not an aggregate node figure.
  4. Leave room for Java outside the heap. ATM10’s official files set an 8GB heap. The host plan must provide additional memory for Java’s native use, libraries, the operating system and panel processes.
  5. Choose an upgrade path. A host that lets you move from 12GB to 16GB or 32GB without rebuilding the world reduces risk when your community grows.

Setting up an All the Mods server

Control-panel labels differ by provider, but the sequence is broadly the same. Make a backup before every major pack or configuration change.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  1. Order the capacity. Select at least 12GB for a small ATM10 or ATM9 group. Choose 16GB when five to 15 players are expected, and 32GB for a 15-plus community.
  2. Prepare the server files. Download the server package for the exact pack version you intend to run. Do not mix client files with server files; use the pack’s supplied server installer or launch script.
  3. Set the Java memory values. Use the host’s startup or environment setting to assign the heap required by the pack. Keep the plan’s total RAM above the heap value so Java and the host system are not starved.
  4. Run the installer and accept the license. Start once, follow the pack’s generated instructions, accept the Minecraft EULA in eula.txt if you agree, and start again.
  5. Test before inviting players. Join from the same region, create a temporary world or backup, check the console for repeated errors, and confirm that the server reaches a stable “running” state.
  6. Configure access and backups. Set the server name, whitelist or operator permissions, view distance and backup schedule. Keep administrative privileges limited to trusted accounts.
  7. Install client-side files. Every player must use the matching ATM version, loader and mod list. A mismatch usually produces a disconnect before the player reaches the world.
  8. Monitor after launch. Watch memory usage, CPU saturation, disk space and the server log during the first busy sessions. Upgrade before the process begins crashing or the tick rate becomes persistently slow.

Diagnosing lag, crashes and failed starts

The server stops during startup

  • Read the first error in the log rather than the final shutdown message.
  • Verify that the server package, loader and Java runtime match the pack’s stated requirements.
  • Check that the startup command points to the correct server file and that the license file has been accepted.
  • Restore the last known-good backup if a newly added mod or configuration caused the failure.

Memory errors or repeated restarts

  • Confirm the plan’s guaranteed RAM and the heap value actually passed to Java.
  • Do not assign the entire plan to -Xmx; leave overhead for native memory and the operating system.
  • Reduce simultaneous exploration and heavy machines while testing.
  • Move from 12GB to 16GB, or from 16GB to 32GB, when usage remains near the limit during normal play.

Low tick rate despite available RAM

  • Check CPU usage and per-core limits; more RAM cannot fix a processor bottleneck.
  • Look for a runaway entity farm, chunk-loading device or dimension that keeps large areas active.
  • Ask the host whether your instance is being throttled on a shared node.
  • Use a backup to test configuration changes safely, and avoid claiming a host is faster unless you have comparable measurements.

Players cannot connect

  • Confirm everyone is using the exact same pack release and mod files.
  • Check the server address, port and whitelist.
  • Review the console for authentication, version or missing-mod errors.
  • Ask support to verify that the allocated port is open and that the node is online.

When a cheaper plan is a false economy

General hosting comparisons often advertise entry tiers around 4GB or even $1.99 per month. Those figures may be legitimate for lightweight vanilla servers, but they sit below the 12GB ATM10 planning floor and the practical ATM9 range. Buying a small plan and upgrading immediately can cost more than selecting the correct tier, especially when an annual discount or migration fee is involved.

Likewise, two 10GB plans can have very different value: one listing shows $9.99 per month while another shows $23.69 with a lifetime discount. The difference may reflect CPU limits, storage, support, backups, location, billing period or simply pricing strategy. Compare the specification sheet, not just the RAM number.

Recommended buying decisions by group size

Use case ATM10 choice ATM9 choice Why
Private test or one to five regular players 12GB guaranteed 12GB guaranteed Provides the minimum practical headroom above the pack’s heap and leaves room for exploration.
Five to 15 players 16GB guaranteed 16GB guaranteed Matches the common planning recommendation and reduces upgrade pressure as worlds expand.
15 or more players 32GB 20–24GB minimum; 32GB if budget allows More concurrent players and loaded chunks increase both memory and CPU demand.
Large automation-heavy community 32GB plus strong CPU allocation 24–32GB plus strong CPU allocation RAM alone does not determine tick speed; verify processor limits and monitoring access.

Questions to ask a host before paying

  • Is the advertised RAM dedicated to my instance, and what happens if the node is full?
  • Which CPU model and allocation limit apply to this plan?
  • Is storage NVMe, and how much disk space is included?
  • How frequently are backups made, how long are they retained, and can I download them?
  • Can I change the Java startup flags and install the official server files myself?
  • What is the upgrade path from 12GB to 16GB or 32GB?
  • What does the displayed monthly price require: annual billing, a coupon or a lifetime discount?
  • What is the renewal price, refund period and cancellation procedure?
  • Does support troubleshoot modpack startup errors, or only node availability?

Final recommendation

For most small ATM10 communities, buy a plan with 12GB of guaranteed RAM; choose 16GB when five to 15 players will be active and 32GB for 15 or more. For ATM9, 12GB is a sensible floor, 16GB suits a typical group, and 20GB or more is safer for a larger community. Among the listed snapshots, Kinetic Hosting and Space-node show the clearest 12GB price points, while WiseHosting labels a 12GB tier for heavy modpacks. Those descriptions do not establish superior performance. Confirm live pricing, guaranteed allocation, CPU limits, storage, backups and refund terms before ordering.
