For a lower-spec PC, start with the Very Low graphics preset at FHD resolution. AION 2’s official compatibility note recommends that combination, but it does not guarantee a particular frame rate or smooth performance on every system. If the game still struggles, use the settings below as a practical starting point and tune them in the same scene, one change at a time.
Start with the official FHD compatibility setting
The AION 2 Steam system-requirements listing says: “When using FHD resolution in-game, set the graphics preset to Very Low to ensure compatibility.” The same instruction appears in NCSOFT support’s AION 2 system requirements FAQ. This is compatibility guidance for FHD, not a promise that the game will run smoothly or reach a specific FPS on your PC. The Steam listing also contains the instruction.

Apply the preset first, then check performance in the type of activity that gives you trouble. If you still see stutter or low frame rates, adjust individual options rather than assuming the preset has solved the problem.

Recommended settings to try on a lower-spec PC
The options below combine third-party editorial recommendations from Playnews and Destructoid. They are starting points, not official settings for a specific GPU or a tested universal optimum.

How to tune settings without guessing
- Record a baseline. Use the Very Low preset at FHD, enter a repeatable area or activity, and note whether the issue is low frame rate, stutter, or visual discomfort.
- Change one option or a small related group. Start with resolution scaling or the demanding visual options above. Avoid changing everything at once, so you can tell which adjustment helped or made the image harder to read.
- Compare in the same conditions. Return to the same scene or activity after each change. A quiet area and a crowded fight can behave differently, so judge the situations that matter to you.
- Keep the clearest settings that run acceptably. If lowering an option does not make a noticeable difference in your own play, restore it rather than sacrificing image quality without benefit.
- Recheck after major game patches. Performance and available graphics options can change with the game build, so revisit your settings if behavior changes after an update.
What these recommendations can—and cannot—tell you
The guides provide settings suggestions, not controlled before-and-after comparisons. AION2 Guide says its ranking reflects inferred rendering cost and recommendations rather than measurements. The reviewed sources do not establish a validated FPS figure, a guaranteed gain from any individual option, or a single best configuration for every PC.
Use the recommendations as a controlled starting point, not a benchmark result. The official FHD instruction is the strongest compatibility guidance here; the detailed slider values are third-party advice that you should verify against your own hardware and the current game build.
