No single AI-powered recruitment CRM is the best choice for every team, and the official product materials for the five platforms below do not establish an independent ranking or a universal winner. The useful question is which platform is built around your workflow. Bullhorn is positioned for staffing and recruitment agencies, Beamery for building and nurturing talent pools, Zoho Recruit for combining applicant tracking with candidate relationship management, and Avature and Gem for the candidate side of the hiring funnel. Everything below describes what each vendor says its product does. None of it comes from hands-on testing, and the vendor-described AI features should be confirmed against the plan you would actually buy.
Which kind of recruitment CRM fits your team
Recruitment CRM is a broad label. Staffing firms and in-house talent teams usually need different things from it, so start with the workflow rather than the brand.

- Staffing or recruitment agency managing clients and candidates together. Start with Bullhorn. Its product page positions it as an applicant tracking system and CRM for staffing agencies, covering candidate and client relationships as well as recruiting pipelines. - In-house talent acquisition building long-term candidate pools. Look first at Beamery, whose Talent CRM page emphasizes skills profiles, talent pools, and candidate nurturing, then at Avature and Gem, whose pages focus on engaging candidates before, during, and after an application.
- A team that wants applicant tracking and candidate relationship management in one product. Zoho Recruit explicitly describes both capabilities, so it is the closest match to a single-suite requirement among these five.
The five platforms at a glance
The table summarizes each vendor’s own positioning. Where a cell says “not stated,” the cited vendor page did not give that detail, so it should not be read as a vendor lacking the feature.

Platform profiles
Bullhorn
Bullhorn positions its product as an applicant tracking system and CRM built for staffing agencies, managing both candidate and client relationships and the recruiting pipelines behind them. Its product materials describe AI Search and Match as a way to find, rank, and connect candidates with jobs. The Australian regional page describes the same AI capabilities, so confirm that the features and terms apply in your country before relying on them. Bullhorn Australia Pricing is custom, so request a quote and compare the scope against the systems you already run.
Zoho Recruit
Zoho describes Recruit as recruiting software that combines applicant tracking with candidate relationship management. Its help documentation says AI Assist can be enabled for users who hold the relevant profile permission, and that the customer chooses the AI provider. That provider choice matters beyond feature access: it determines which AI service receives your recruiting data, so ask Zoho to confirm this in writing. Zoho’s feature page describes Zia candidate matching based on skills, experience, and job descriptions. Beamery
Beamery describes its Talent CRM as a way to build skills profiles, organize targeted talent pools, resurface previous applicants, and automate workflows with AI assistance. Its page also includes outcome figures reported by the vendor. Those figures come without independent validation or a comparable methodology, so they should not be used to rank Beamery against other products. Beamery Talent CRM

Avature
Avature frames its product as candidate relationship management for attracting, engaging, and nurturing talent before a specific hiring need exists. Its page lists configurable workflows, integrations, and AI-powered search, matching, and recommendations. The page also states 2026 Gartner recognition. That is a vendor statement, not an independent endorsement, and it should not be read as evidence of product quality. Avature candidate relationship management

Gem
Gem describes its CRM as a central place to manage candidate relationships before, during, and after an application, including past applicants, passive prospects, and talent community members. That description fits teams whose main problem is keeping a warm pipeline of people who have not yet applied. It does not establish that Gem outperforms the other four platforms. Gem recruiting CRM

What “AI” means in these products
All five vendors use AI language, but the functions differ and are described at different levels of detail. Sort each claim into one of three groups before comparing:
- Search and matching: ranking candidates against a job using skills, experience, or job descriptions (described by Bullhorn, Zoho, and Avature).
- Recommendations and rediscovery: suggesting people from a pool or resurfacing past applicants (described by Beamery and Avature).
- Workflow assistance: automating steps or helping with routine tasks (described by Beamery and Zoho).
A feature listed on a marketing page is not the same as a feature you can use. Ask each vendor three questions: which plan includes the AI function, whether it must be switched on by an administrator or per user, and which AI provider processes the data. Also ask whether the vendor can show how match results are produced, since none of the cited pages explain their ranking logic in detail.
Compare CRM and ATS scope together
A CRM tracks relationships and communication history. An applicant tracking system manages job requisitions, stages, and hiring decisions. Some products combine both, and others leave one of them to a separate system. Zoho Recruit and Bullhorn both describe combined applicant tracking and CRM capabilities, which can reduce the number of systems a team must connect. Beamery, Avature, and Gem describe their strength on the candidate relationship side. Before choosing one of those, confirm how it hands off to the applicant tracking system your team uses.
What the vendor pages do not establish
The cited pages do not provide enough information to compare these products on cost, integrations, or data handling. Treat the following as open items for every vendor on your list:
Best Value
- Full Color Pages Offer Excitement And Stimulation For The Students
- Arranged For Flute
- CD Contains 11 Full Band Arrangements
- Suitable For Grades Five - Eight
- 48 Pages
- Price, plan limits, and implementation or onboarding costs. Only Bullhorn describes its pricing model, and it describes it as custom.
- Integrations with your existing applicant tracking system, HRIS, sourcing tools, and email or calendar systems.
- Data handling, including where candidate data is stored and which AI providers receive it.
- Country and language availability. Regional pages can differ from the global product description.
- Comparable outcome evidence. None of the cited sources provides independent, cross-vendor results on hiring speed, match quality, or candidate outcomes.
How to narrow the list
- Write down your team type, current applicant tracking system, and the three candidate tasks that matter most, such as client-driven searches, pool nurturing, or rediscovering past applicants.
- Match those tasks to the platform profiles above and keep no more than two or three candidates.
- Request written pricing for each plan, including user limits and any charges for AI features.
- Ask for a sandbox or trial built on your own job requisitions and anonymized candidate records, then check whether the match results make sense to your recruiters.
- Get the AI provider, data storage location, and integration list confirmed in writing before signing.
This sequence turns a vendor-described shortlist into a decision you can defend internally, because the final choice rests on your own data and your own workflow.
