How to choose a 70-inch TV for your room
Confirm the fit, not just the diagonal
A 70-inch screen measurement is its diagonal, not its width. Check the exact model’s width and height both with and without the stand, stand spacing, and required clearance. The Sharp listing’s 91 × 157 × 8.2 cm measurements are without its stand; they do not tell you whether its feet will fit your furniture.

Match the picture to your lighting
For a bright or reflective room, look for comparable independent information about peak brightness and reflection handling. Also check whether the model has local dimming if contrast in dark scenes matters to you. The Sharp listing identifies a VA-type panel and says it has no local dimming, but does not provide comparable brightness test results.
Check HDR formats and what you watch
HDR format support matters only when the content and service you use provide that format. The Sharp listing specifies Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG. Confirm the supported formats on the exact regional version before buying, especially if you are comparing model variants.
Match gaming features to your console or PC
Check resolution and refresh rate together, along with VRR, ALLM, HDMI input count and the connections your setup requires. The Sharp listing specifies 1080p/120Hz, VRR and ALLM; do not infer 4K/120Hz from that 1080p specification. If you need a specific console feature, verify it in the manual or regional product specification.

Compare the full purchase terms
Check current retailer listings in your country for the exact model number and screen size. Compare price, warranty, delivery, returns and stock; the dated Samsung guide price is not a substitute for a live listing. Model names and feature sets can differ between markets.

If 70 inches is a strict furniture or wall constraint, measure the intended space and limit your search to models that fit. If the size is flexible, compare 75-inch LED televisions and 77-inch OLED televisions as distinct categories. RTINGS’ current size recommendations reflect those more commonly represented sizes, but a larger diagonal may not suit the room or viewing distance.
