For most competitive players who want a 60% Hall effect keyboard, the Wooting 60HE v2 is the strongest starting point. RTINGS names it the best 60% keyboard it has tested in its 2026 roundup, citing its low latency, adjustable magnetic-switch actuation and reset, Rapid Trigger, and extensive configuration. That makes it a well-supported pick—not a guarantee of better results in a game.

The NuPhy Air60 HE is a lower-profile magnetic-switch alternative. The Razer Huntsman V3 Pro Mini 8KHz is worth considering if its high polling rate appeals to you, but it uses analog optical switches, not Hall effect sensing. These are all 60% boards, so none has dedicated function-row, navigation, or number-pad keys.

Which 60% Hall effect keyboard should you choose?

The Wooting 60HE v2 is the clearest fit if you want a compact Hall effect board for competitive play and value configurable actuation, Rapid Trigger, and multiple input options. In RTINGS’ 2026 roundup, it is the best 60% keyboard the publication has tested. Its comparison with the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro Mini also cautions against choosing on polling rate alone: RTINGS describes the Wooting’s measured latency advantage as unlikely to be noticeable in-game. RTINGS’ 60% keyboard roundup and its Wooting–Razer comparison provide the test context.

Choose based on the features that affect your setup: switch sensing, actuation controls, software, build and profile, wired connection, and whether you can live with a 60% layout. The Razer is a useful neighboring option, but it is not a Hall effect keyboard; the NuPhy is a genuine magnetic-switch alternative with a lower profile.

Wooting 60HE v2: the primary Hall effect pick

RTINGS highlights the v2’s magnetic switches, adjustable actuation and reset, Rapid Trigger, multiple inputs per key, and SOCD support. Adjustable actuation lets you choose how far a key must travel before it registers; Rapid Trigger changes when a key resets as it moves, rather than relying only on one fixed reset point. These controls can be useful for players who want to tune key behavior, but their value depends on preference and how you configure them.

Wootility is described as accessible for setup in PC Gamer’s review. The practical tradeoff is the compact layout: PC Gamer notes that using a 60% board involves shortcuts for functions that would have dedicated keys on a larger keyboard. The v2 is wired-only, so it is not the pick for someone who requires wireless use. PC Gamer’s Wooting 60HE v2 review discusses software and layout.

Do not confuse the v2 with the 60HE+

The Wooting 60HE+ is a separate model, not another name for the v2. Wooting lists the 60HE+ with Lekker L60 Hall effect switches, analog input, Rapid Trigger, and per-key actuation adjustment in 0.1 mm increments. Its product page describes the control as: “Fine-tune each key’s actuation point with 0.1mm precision.” That is Wooting’s product wording, not an independent test finding. The page also lists a four-year warranty excluding LED and a 30-day return period; check the terms for your region before relying on them. Wooting 60HE+ product details

NuPhy Air60 HE: a lower-profile magnetic alternative

RTINGS positions the NuPhy Air60 HE as a mid-range, low-profile 60% magnetic-switch keyboard with adjustable actuation and reset, Rapid Trigger, and SOCD. It is wired-only and has a plastic case. RTINGS describes its performance difference from the Wooting as marginal and unlikely to matter in a competitive game, so its strongest reason to choose it is fit and profile preference rather than an established competitive-performance edge. Razer Huntsman V3 Pro Mini 8KHz: a comparison, not a Hall effect pick

The Razer is a 60% keyboard with Gen-2 analog optical switches, adjustable actuation from 0.1 to 4.0 mm, Rapid Trigger, and 8,000 Hz HyperPolling, according to Razer. Optical analog sensing differs from Hall effect magnetic sensing, so the Huntsman belongs in this comparison as a compact competitive alternative—not as a Hall effect recommendation. Razer also rates the switches for up to 100 million keystrokes. Razer Huntsman V3 Pro Mini 8KHz specifications

Razer states that its 0.48 ms latency result was measured from switch actuation to signal receipt at the host USB port, using 20 measurements with the keyboard set to 0.1 mm actuation and 8,000 Hz polling. This is a vendor-reported result with a defined measurement boundary, not a universal end-to-end latency figure; Razer says end-to-end latency can vary with the test setup and devices. RTINGS’ comparison says the Wooting’s measured latency edge over the Razer is unlikely to be noticeable in-game. Treat polling rate and latency as useful technical details, not proof that one keyboard will make you play better. Razer’s latency test details · RTINGS’ comparison

What a 60% layout means during play

A 60% keyboard omits dedicated function-row, navigation, and number-pad keys. Those functions are accessed through layers or shortcuts, so consider whether you regularly use keys such as the arrows, Home, or F-keys outside a game. The smaller layout can leave more desk space for mouse movement, but it asks you to adapt to secondary inputs. PC Gamer discusses this tradeoff for the Wooting v2 in its review.

  • Pick a 60% board if a compact layout suits your desk and you are comfortable using layers or shortcuts.
  • Look beyond compactness if you rely on dedicated navigation or function keys and do not want to reach through layers.
  • Compare switch type and configuration tools separately from polling rate; a larger number alone does not establish a meaningful in-game advantage.

How to make the choice

  1. Want Hall effect first? Start with the Wooting 60HE v2. Consider the 60HE+ separately if its listed Lekker L60 switches and 0.1 mm actuation increments fit your priorities; verify that the product page matches the generation you intend to buy.
  2. Prefer a lower profile? Compare the NuPhy Air60 HE’s low-profile magnetic design with the Wooting’s features and build information.
  3. Open to optical analog switches? Consider the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro Mini 8KHz, while keeping its optical sensing distinct from Hall effect.
  4. Check the practical details before ordering. Confirm the exact model, regional stock, live total price, seller, and return or warranty terms; review-time prices can change.
