The Bellini BDI604SG-F is a 60cm, four-zone induction cooktop with a 7,000W rated input, nine power levels, booster and a 99-minute timer. Its published specifications make it possible to assess fit, electrical requirements and cookware compatibility, but they do not establish how well it cooks: CHOICE’s performance scores and pros and cons are members-only, and its public listing marks the model discontinued. Treat this as a specification and ownership assessment, not a hands-on performance review.
What the BDI604SG-F offers

Will it fit your bench?
Bellini’s manual gives appliance dimensions of 590 x 520 x 60mm and an approximate cabinet cut-out of 560 x 490mm, with tolerance notation in the installation diagram. CHOICE’s public listing rounds the external dimensions to 59 x 52cm and installation dimensions to 56 x 49cm. Do not rely on nominal 60cm width alone: check the manual’s diagram and measure the actual bench opening and cabinet clearances before buying or replacing a unit.
Cutout dimensions are only one part of fit. Installation also depends on the specified ventilation space and clearances. Have the installer assess the actual cabinet and bench arrangement against Bellini’s manual.

- Although induction itself is a noiseless process, there may be high pitched sounds from the cookware due to multiple layers of metals sandwiched together. Please allow the induction cooker to cool down before cleaning
Electrical connection and installation
Bellini’s current product page identifies the cooktop as 30A hard wired. The manual says installation must be carried out by qualified personnel or technicians, comply with applicable local requirements, and provide suitable wiring, clearances and ventilation. It also describes a 3mm contact separation for an isolating switch and calls for qualified electrician assessment of wiring suitability. The appliance rating plate and local rules must guide the installation; these published details are not personalized wiring instructions.

What cookware works?
Use flat-bottom cookware marked as suitable for induction. Bellini’s manual gives minimum pan-base diameters of 120mm for the 140mm zones and 180mm for the 220mm zones. A pan that is too small or lacks a compatible magnetic base may not be detected.
- Generally unsuitable materials listed in the manual include glass, ceramic, earthenware, aluminum, copper and non-magnetic stainless steel.
- Check the cookware maker’s induction label and the base diameter, not just the pan’s rim measurement.
- The manual says the cooktop detects unsuitable pans; a flashing display indicates a pan is unsuitable for the appliance.
Safety and care points
- Turn the cooktop off and let it cool before cleaning. Bellini advises against steam or high-pressure cleaning.
- Do not heat empty pans or cover the specified ventilation gap.
- The glass-ceramic surface can be damaged by impact, rough pan bases or boil-overs, according to the manual.
- A residual-heat indicator may remain on for about 30 minutes, depending on the power setting.
- Bellini’s manual instructs people with implanted pacemakers to keep their upper body at least 30cm from switched-on induction zones. Follow the manual and seek advice from a healthcare professional or device maker if you have questions about your specific device.
What does independent review evidence establish?
CHOICE’s public listing identifies a four-zone, 60cm model with 7kW maximum capacity and marks it discontinued. The entry says testing occurred in 2023 or earlier, but its expert rating, detailed cooking and usability scores, and pros and cons are behind a member login. The public information does not support calling the cooktop a CHOICE recommended product or making a claim about its cooking performance.

Is the Bellini BDI604SG-F a good buy?
It may suit a kitchen needing a 60cm, four-zone induction cooktop if the cutout, cabinet clearances and electrical installation are compatible, and if the household’s pans meet the minimum base sizes. The published feature set is clear, but public evidence does not establish cooking results, reliability or value against current alternatives. Its discontinued status also makes verified availability, service and parts important parts of the decision.
When comparing it with another four-zone induction model, compare the actual bench cutout and body dimensions, connection and load requirements, zone sizes and boosted power, minimum pan bases, controls and safety functions, warranty and service support, published independent performance results, and current price and stock. Do not assume that similar zone counts or nominal widths make two cooktops interchangeable.
