Beckham is a dark-themed HTML portfolio template from Colorlib. Its official product page describes a full set of portfolio features, shows three license tiers from $19 to $349, and lists a license of CC BY 3.0. The page calls it one of the best portfolio templates of 2026, but that label is the vendor’s own. No independent comparison supports it, so the useful question is whether Beckham’s stated features and terms fit your project.
What Beckham is
Beckham is a static HTML template, meaning it is a set of HTML, CSS and JavaScript files you host and edit yourself rather than a theme for a content management system. Colorlib, the vendor, positions it for personal and creative portfolio sites with a dark visual design. Because it is a digital download, there is no physical product to ship or stock.

Features the vendor describes
Colorlib’s product page lists the following. These are vendor claims; the page does not describe any hands-on test of how the template performs in a browser or on mobile devices.
- Full-screen hero banner with rotating text.
- Overlay menu for navigation.
- Scroll-triggered animations for content sections.
- Animated statistics section, useful for showing project counts or years of experience.
- Contact form. The page does not say whether the form works out of the box or needs a back-end service, so confirm this in the downloaded files before relying on it.
- Social media icons and a Google Maps embed.
- Portfolio presentation for showcasing work.
- Minimal blog section.
If your portfolio depends on a specific feature, such as a case-study layout, a filterable gallery or a multilingual setup, the product description does not mention it. Check the demo and the file list before you buy.

License, attribution and image credits
The product page labels the license CC BY 3.0. CC BY 3.0 generally allows reuse, including commercial use, with attribution to the creator. Read the license text the vendor provides at download, because template packages often bundle third-party fonts, scripts and images under separate terms. The page also credits Unsplash photography. Images from that source carry their own license conditions, so do not assume that replacing the template’s code gives you rights to its pictures.
Pricing as displayed
The product page shows three tiers. These are the prices displayed on the page at the time it was reviewed. They are not a guarantee of current checkout prices, so confirm them on the live page before purchase.
Rank #2
| Tier | Displayed price | Support and update terms |
|---|---|---|
| Single | $19 | Differs by tier; the page describes the terms but the exact periods were not confirmed here |
| Membership | $129 | Differs by tier; see the product page for exact periods |
| Lifetime | $349 | Differs by tier; see the product page for exact periods |
Before choosing a tier, compare the number of sites you plan to build, how long you expect to need updates, and whether you want the single-site or multi-project terms the vendor offers.

Conflicting dates on the product page
The page carries two dates that do not agree. It lists a post date of July 9, 2024, and separately displays a release label of September 2026. The page does not explain which one reflects the template’s current version. If the release date matters to you, for example because you need a version that supports a particular browser baseline or framework, ask the vendor to confirm the version and changelog before buying.

Is Beckham the best portfolio template?
The page’s “best” wording is marketing. It does not reflect a comparison against other templates, and no independent review or benchmark was found that ranks Beckham above alternatives. Beckham may suit a designer who wants a dark, animated one-page portfolio with a built-in blog. It may not suit someone who needs a light layout, a CMS back end or a particular framework.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How to evaluate it before buying
- Open the live demo on your phone and a desktop browser, and check the navigation overlay and animations.
- Confirm the contact form’s behavior: is it client-side only, or does it need a service or server?
- Read the license file in the download and list any bundled third-party assets and their terms.
- Check the exact support and update period for the tier you are considering.
- Compare the feature list with your own requirements, not with the vendor’s headline claims.
If the template passes these checks, it is a reasonable choice for a dark-themed HTML portfolio. If it fails any of them, the product’s “best” label should not change your decision.
