Battle Group 2 has Steam achievements, but the reviewed official and Steam sources do not establish a working cheat code or code-entry method. For less-grindy progress, a player-authored Steam guide last updated in 2016 recommends specific maps and ships for kill counts, missile hits, and oil. Those routes are useful starting points, not official or recently verified instructions.

Which maps make achievements easier?
The routes below come from Mintar’s player-authored Steam Community guide, “Optimal Path to Achievements: Target Analysis by Map Level,” published February 24, 2016 and updated September 27, 2016. Treat them as dated community recommendations rather than guaranteed outcomes. Some advice, especially for missile-hit farming on Map 28, depends on having enough slow-time tokens.

How to use the achievement routes
- Identify the exact counter you need. Separate enemy-specific kills from general target totals and missile hits; a run that helps one objective may not advance another.
- For missing enemy types, start with Map 23. If the target you need appears too infrequently, use the guide’s suggested follow-up maps—27, 29, or 22—to focus your next runs.
- For missile progress, equip missiles rather than relying on USS Iowa. The guide distinguishes Iowa’s shell fire from missile hits and recommends the fully upgraded Arsenal Prototype for the 10,000-hit goal.
- For oil, try Maps 22–25. If you are earlier in the campaign, Map 13 may be worth trying when you can destroy its targets.
- Check your progress after a run. The guide is old and player-authored, so use the in-game or Steam achievement progress to confirm that a particular run is advancing the counter you want.
What to know about this game’s achievements
The Steam listing identifies Battle Group 2 as a single-player game with Steam Achievements. The map-specific advice is not a cheat: it is a way to choose missions and weapons that the 2016 guide’s author considered more efficient for particular counters. The guide does not establish that every recommendation works unchanged in the current game version.
