To win more matches in Batomon Showdown, use the untimed shop to build a team whose abilities work together, then position those units so their triggers and targets make sense. Battles resolve automatically, so your most important decisions happen before you press Battle: what to buy, when to reroll or merge, and how to prepare for the board you have now—not a theoretical perfect team.
How a Batomon Showdown run works
Batomon Showdown is an asynchronous creature-collecting auto-battler. You build a team of up to six Batomon, then fight a saved board from the same day rather than making tactical moves against a live opponent. The Steam listing describes the PC game, while Google Play lists an Android version; the community FAQ discusses version and platform details. The independent community guide describes a normal run as ending at 10 wins or when you run out of lives after using Second Chance. It reports 10 starting lives, with losses costing one life on days 1–2, two on days 3–4, and three from day 5 onward. When your lives first reach zero, Second Chance restores you to one life and opens a reward event; reaching zero again ends the run. These values come from the guide, not official patch notes, and may change. How to play Batomon Showdown
Shop first, battle second
The shop phase has no timer, according to the guide. You can buy, reroll, lock offers for the next day, rearrange your team, and choose when to start Battle. Once combat begins, the board resolves automatically without turn-by-turn control. Use the time to compare each purchase with what your team needs for its next fight.

One unit knocked out does not end the fight
Each side has a shared battle HP pool. Individual Batomon can be knocked out while their side continues fighting; the side loses when its shared HP reaches zero. That distinction matters when judging a unit: a fragile support may still be useful if its effect triggers before it falls, while a surviving unit is not enough if the team has already lost its shared HP.
Build around ability interactions, not just stats
The community guide describes several kinds of effects: those that activate at the start of battle, casts governed by cooldowns, ongoing effects, knockout triggers, and victory effects. A unit’s printed stats tell only part of the story. Read the full ability text and consider when it activates, what it targets, and whether another unit can help it deliver value.
Position for the trigger and target
Some abilities depend on a particular slot, direction, or neighboring unit. Before battling, check which Batomon need an adjacent ally, which effects point toward another position, and whether a support unit is placed where its trigger can benefit the intended teammate. There is no universally correct arrangement: the ability text and the opposing board determine what placement makes sense.

The guide says cooldown speed affects how quickly ability timers reach a cast. It also reports that sudden death begins after 30 seconds, damaging both sides every half-second with damage increasing until the battle ends. Treat those precise timings as guide-reported rules rather than guarantees for every current version; check the in-game text if a strategy depends on them.
Make each shop decision serve the next battle
Gold and shop opportunities are limited choices within a run. Before buying, rerolling, locking an offer, or spending on an item, identify the immediate problem you are trying to solve: for example, adding a missing role, improving a weak interaction, or preserving a useful offer for the next day. A purchase that looks powerful in isolation may not improve the board you are about to field.
Reroll, lock, or take what is offered?
- Buy now when the offer directly strengthens the current board or creates a useful interaction with units you already have.
- Reroll when the available choices do not address a meaningful need and you are willing to trade the chance of a better offer against the resources spent.
- Lock an offer when it is valuable enough to keep for the next day and delaying the purchase fits your plan. The guide says locked offers carry forward, but does not establish one universally best time to lock.
These are decision principles, not a fixed economy formula: the available guide does not give a complete, patch-verified accounting of gold values for every choice.
Merge for board value, not just because you can
The guide reports that three matching level-1 copies merge into level 2, and two matching level-2 copies merge into level 3. It also says a merge opens a trinket gift; reaching level 4 requires a special effect rather than normal merging. Before committing copies, weigh the immediate change to your board against the resources and flexibility you give up. A merge is not automatically an upgrade to your next battle if it leaves the rest of the team weaker.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteChoose trainers, trinkets, and items by their effect
According to the guide, trainers can affect a run’s board, economy, shop, or rewards. Trinkets generally remain in the bag and duplicate copies can stack, although some are consumed after their effect fires. Items take effect when purchased and can permanently buff units, alter or reroll the shop, grant units or trinkets, or change other run state. Read the effect and ask whether it helps this board or a plan you can realistically complete; none of these categories is always the right spend.
The guide places normal events before days 3, 6, and 9, with an additional event at Second Chance. Those timings, like the other specific mechanics here, are community-guide descriptions and can be version-sensitive.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Adapt your team instead of chasing a supposedly best composition
The available sources support synergy as a core strategy, but do not establish a current best team composition, tested tier list, or independently verified ranked win-rate comparison. Build from the useful pieces the shop actually offers, then reassess when a strong alternative appears. A good plan is one you can assemble and position with the resources in your run—not a fixed lineup pursued regardless of what turns up.
- Read each complete ability and target condition before buying a unit.
- Look for interactions among the Batomon already on your board before committing to a new direction.
- Keep some flexibility: a speculative merge or repeated reroll can cost opportunities to improve an immediate weakness.
- As the run advances, factor in the guide’s reported increase in life lost per defeat; a risky experiment becomes more consequential when a loss costs more.
Are the opponents real players?
The community guide and FAQ describe opponents as saved boards from the same day, usually player snapshots. They also describe prebuilt bot boards and broader fallback opponents when the available player pool is thin. That makes the format asynchronous, not real-time PvP: you can use the full shop phase to prepare, but you are not reacting to an opponent’s live moves. What the available evidence can—and cannot—tell you
Specific rules and timings in this guide come from an independent community how-to page and FAQ, not official patch notes. They are useful for understanding the described systems, but exact values and balance can change. The Steam page is the primary source for the PC listing and product framing; Google Play is the primary source for the Android listing. Neither a current tested ranked meta nor reproducible build win rates are established by these sources, so treat a claim that one lineup is the best as unverified unless it comes with current, credible supporting evidence.
