Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game Patch 3.0 adds familiar faces to Ba Sing Se and expands how players can meet and watch matches in lobbies. The official notes were last updated October 7, 2026; they also detail Ozai changes, Story Mode adjustments and new practice content.
Ba Sing Se puts familiar faces in view
The most visible stage change is in Ba Sing Se, where the Freedom Fighters, Bosco and the King now appear as non-player characters. The update gives the stage new background cameos rather than adding those figures as playable fighters. Official Patch 3.0 notes and the Steam patch notes describe the change.

Open lobbies add spectating and host controls
Patch 3.0 upgrades private lobbies to open lobbies. Hosts can configure rooms for 2–16 players, make them public or invite-only, and choose a lobby code that is shareable or hidden. They can set rounds to the normal 60 seconds or infinite time, and choose a win limit from first-to-1 through first-to-10 or allow infinite rematches.
Players can spectate an active match, with real-time rewind and fast-forward controls. The patch notes state: “Joining a full game session allows you to spectate the ongoing match.” Hosts can also kick or ban players.

Queuing and winner-stays-on settings are not part of this delivered feature set; the notes describe both as future updates.
Ozai and other character updates
Ozai receives reimagined gameplay, three new Critical Hits, tuning changes and updates to all three of his supports. Zuko and Katara have updated Final Technique animations, while Azula’s effects and victory poses receive touch-ups. The notes also address character-specific bonus Flow regeneration: it is no longer applied during hitstun or blockstun, affecting Kyoshi and Ozai.
Story Mode, tutorials and trials
Story Mode’s CPU difficulty now begins at an easier level and ramps up. The first seven fights give players buffs, and in-match popups explain moves such as Auto Combos. These changes are aimed at making early fights and move discovery more approachable.

The notes list fixes involving projectile Flow reactions, hitstop, scaling and throws, as well as a fix for poor-quality relay connections in lobbies. They do not provide measured player-impact figures or establish specific competitive-balance outcomes.
The official notes describe joining supported cross-platform lobbies by lobby code, but do not confirm that every Patch 3.0 feature arrived on every platform at the same time. Nintendo Life reported on August 2, 2026 that an earlier post-launch update was available and included the Samurai Appa support-character skin, keyboard remapping, Deluxe Edition colors and fixes; at that point, it said the Switch version of that update and future content were still on the way. That earlier report does not establish Patch 3.0’s Switch rollout.
