In its announcement, ASICS said the redesign aims to deliver a lighter, bouncier, more responsive experience. The company’s Senior Manager of Global Product, Performance Running Footwear, Paul Lang, described the franchise as combining cushioning with mechanical propulsion. These are manufacturer characterizations rather than independent ride assessments.

ASICS says the second model has a redesigned, forked ASTROPLATE, a dual-foam midsole, and an engineered mesh upper. The company says the plate allows FF TURBO SQUARED cushioning to extend farther through the midsole and into the trampoline pod; FF BLAST MAX is the other foam. ASICS describes the upper as intended to improve breathability and comfort.

ASICS also reports that the shoe is approximately 14 grams lighter than its predecessor, with the comparison based on men’s US size 9. This is the manufacturer’s stated comparison, not an independent measurement.
What do the official specifications establish?
The ASICS US product listing names FF BLAST MAX, FF TURBO SQUARED, and an FF TURBO SQUARED trampoline pod. The listing describes the shoe as functional for tempo runs and daily training. These details explain the materials and intended use, but they do not establish how the shoe rides or whether its fit will work for a particular foot.

The available product and launch information does not independently establish ride quality, fit, durability, or comparative value. In particular, it does not show whether the shoe feels stable at easy pace, whether the plate and cushioning suit a runner’s stride, how the upper fits different foot shapes, or how the shoe performs after extended use.
A useful hands-on assessment should identify the tester’s shoe size and relevant foot shape, the run types and conditions, the distance covered, and the basis for any direct comparison with another shoe. Without those details, performance conclusions should not be treated as settled.

Those are launch announcements, not confirmation of current inventory in every country or store.
