What is Armoury Crate?
Armoury Crate is a software hub for managing supported ASUS gaming systems and accessories. ASUS describes it as a place to view real-time device information and configure compatible connected products. It is not a single, identical control panel for every ASUS computer: available functions depend on the hardware and Armoury Crate version.

For compatible products, Armoury Crate provides device information and access to configuration options. What appears in the app depends on the connected device.

Some supported systems provide performance adjustments and scenario profiles. A profile can associate settings with a selected game or application, making it easier to use different configurations for different activities. The available controls vary by device; ASUS does not establish a universal performance improvement.

Control and create lighting effects
Aura Sync synchronizes lighting across supported devices. Aura Creator is for creating more advanced lighting effects. They serve different lighting needs, and the effect options depend on the hardware. ASUS’s FAQ says more than 180 devices support Aura Sync; the page does not give a publication date for that count, so it should not be treated as a current live total. Configure supported peripherals
Depending on the accessory, the Device area may offer settings such as mouse DPI, macros, lighting, display options, or adjustments for an AIO cooler. These are examples of possible controls, not features available for every product.

Manage motherboard fans
On supported motherboards, Fan Xpert can control fans connected to the board, including fan speed and curves. ASUS cautions that Armoury Crate functions may vary by motherboard.

Organize games and network features
The Armoury Crate version 6.0 guide documents a Game Library, game-linked Scenario Profiles, and GameFirst. These are software options, not guarantees of higher frame rates or lower network latency. See ASUS’s version 6.0 introduction for the version-specific interface and features.

Will Armoury Crate work with your device?
Compatibility is tied to exact product models. ASUS’s compatibility FAQ covers ROG and TUF Gaming laptops and desktops, selected ASUS motherboards, and listed peripherals, including specific keyboard models. Check your model against ASUS’s compatibility list rather than assuming that a product works because it carries an ASUS, ROG, or TUF name.
Feature availability also varies within compatible devices. ASUS’s guides for versions 5.0 and 6.0 describe different interfaces and feature sets, and some controls are limited to particular models. For a specific setting, confirm both that your device supports Armoury Crate and that the relevant feature is available for your model and software version.

How to install or find Armoury Crate
ASUS documents support for Windows 10 (Creators Update/1903 or later) and Windows 11. Armoury Crate comes preinstalled on some new ROG and TUF Gaming systems. If it is not installed, ASUS directs users to the support page for their exact model to find the installer. Check that model’s support information for the current download and applicable system requirements.

- Identify the full model name of your ASUS computer, motherboard, or peripheral.
- Check ASUS’s Armoury Crate compatibility information for that model and the features you want.
- If the software is not preinstalled, open the product’s ASUS support page and follow its Armoury Crate download and installation instructions.
- After installation, use the controls exposed for your device; do not expect options documented for another model or version to appear.
Which Armoury Crate features should you look for?
- For coordinated lighting, confirm Aura Sync support for each device you want to synchronize.
- For custom lighting design, check whether your product and software version provide Aura Creator support.
- For game-specific settings, look for Scenario Profiles in the version and device guide that applies to your setup.
- For fan curves, confirm motherboard support for Fan Xpert and check which fans are connected to that board.
- For macros, DPI, or other accessory controls, consult the listing for the exact peripheral model.
