No—not in the sense of downloadable, openly licensed model weights. Meta presents Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full as hosted models, not open-source or open-weight releases. Commercial use is intended through Meta Model API under its service terms; Muse Wonder Full is offered through a Muse Code subscription, whose terms govern that access.
Are Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full open source?
Meta’s official materials reviewed do not present either model as open source or open weight, and do not identify a Wonder-specific license or public weight download. Instead, Meta describes them as hosted offerings. Its documentation distinguishes these from Muse Glimmer, which Meta describes as open weight and runnable on a user’s hardware. That contrast does not mean Wonder or Wonder Full weights are available for local deployment.

A model being accessible through a developer API is not the same as publishing its weights or granting an open model license. Meta’s October 12, 2026 geographic-use policy lists both Wonder models as Standard Models for Model API purposes; that classification concerns API service access, not weight availability.
Can you use Muse Wonder commercially?
Meta Model API use is intended for commercial use, except where Meta expressly makes a service available for personal or consumer use. The API Terms of Service, last updated October 9, 2026, say: “The Services are intended for your commercial use, except where Meta expressly makes the Services available for personal or consumer use, including through a consumer subscription.” The terms also say that using a model through the API is governed by the API terms, rather than a separate model license.

That is permission to use the hosted service under its applicable terms—not an open-source grant. Before building a commercial product, check the current Meta Model API Terms of Service, the applicable geographic-use policy, Meta’s Acceptable Use Policy, and any terms for the access route you plan to use. Meta says API policies may be updated periodically; geographic availability and restrictions can matter to a deployment.
What Meta says about API inputs and outputs
Meta’s Help Center says, “No, Meta does not claim copyright over outputs generated with Model API,” and quotes Terms of Service Section 5.1 on user ownership of Inputs and Outputs. This statement is about rights between the API user and Meta. It does not guarantee that a particular output qualifies for copyright protection, is exclusive, or is free of third-party rights.

How the two models are accessed
| Model | Access listed by Meta | License basis | Local weights |
|---|---|---|---|
| Muse Wonder | Meta Model API and Muse Code | API terms for API use; applicable Muse Code terms for subscription access | No Wonder weight download or open license is identified in the reviewed official materials |
| Muse Wonder Full | Muse Code subscription | Applicable Muse Code subscription terms | No Wonder Full weight download or open license is identified in the reviewed official materials |
Meta announced both models on October 12, 2026. Its announcement and model page list Muse Wonder for Model API and Muse Code, while Muse Wonder Full is listed for Muse Code subscribers. A Muse Code subscription is hosted access, not evidence of permission to download or self-host the model.

What access, pricing, and data settings are listed?
Meta’s developer page lists Muse Wonder as muse-wonder-1.0, with a 1,048,576-token context window. At the time of the listed documentation, its Standard API pricing is $4 per million input tokens, $0.20 per million cached input tokens, and $20 per million output tokens. Meta marks Muse Wonder as in preview. These are changeable service details, so verify the model page and pricing and rate limits before budgeting or launch.
Muse Wonder Full is listed as available by Muse Code subscription; Meta’s developer page does not list a per-token API price for it. The reviewed materials do not establish subscription prices or all subscription conditions, so check the current Muse Code terms for the plan you intend to use.
Meta’s pricing documentation says Standard mode prompts, code, files, context, and responses are not used to train Meta models. It also says Contributor mode is not available for Muse Wonder on Model API. Those API statements should not be assumed to describe Muse Code subscription settings, which may have separate controls.

What to check before a commercial launch
- Choose the access route: Muse Wonder API use and Muse Code subscription access have different applicable terms.
- Confirm geography and permitted use: check the current geographic-use policy and Acceptable Use Policy for the locations and application involved.
- Review output rights in context: Meta’s position on copyright claims does not settle copyrightability, exclusivity, or third-party rights for your specific output.
- Verify volatile details: preview status, pricing, availability, and subscription conditions can change; consult Meta’s current service pages before relying on them.
- Plan for hosted deployment: if your requirement is to run weights on your own hardware, the reviewed official materials do not establish that option for either Wonder model.
