Nexon and Chernin Entertainment are collaborating on screen projects based on ARC Raiders and THE FINALS, according to a report published by GamesRadar+ on October 5, 2026. The report does not say whether ARC Raiders specifically is being developed as a film, a television series, or both.
What has been announced about an ARC Raiders adaptation?
GamesRadar+ reports that Nexon and Chernin Entertainment have agreed to develop film or television projects involving ARC Raiders and THE FINALS. The announcement covers both game properties and both screen formats, but does not assign a format to either title. Who is involved, and what does Chernin’s Backrooms credit mean?
GamesRadar+ quotes David Ready, Chernin Entertainment’s president of film, describing the games as “ambitious global IP” with potential across film and television. Embark founder and CEO Patrick Söderlund is quoted calling the agreement a step toward “deeply integrated transmedia experiences.” These are statements attributed to the executives in the outlet’s account of the announcement, not independently verified transcripts. Chernin Entertainment is associated with A24’s Backrooms: A24’s official film page lists the film as an A24 and Chernin Entertainment release and credits Kane Parsons as director and Will Soodik as writer. That establishes a Chernin credit on Backrooms; it does not establish Chernin’s specific creative role, the genre, or the production approach for an ARC Raiders project.
