Pendola Pass is the frozen Italian village and Exodus transport hub added to ARC Raiders with the Frozen Trail 2.0 update on October 8, 2026. No official source ranks its loot spots, and the only specific key-room location so far comes from a launch-day guide report at Almatera Station. Treat any “best” spot below as a provisional choice for the raid you are in, not a fixed fact.
What Pendola Pass is
Embark Studios describes Pendola Pass as an old Italian village and Exodus transport hub, reached beyond the peaks around the Rust Belt. Its official preview, published September 23, 2026, presents it as an abandoned settlement with signs of the Exodus Project, where flash freezes cut through the valley. The map shipped with the Frozen Trail 2.0 update on October 8, 2026. Embark first announced the Frozen Trail update on August 12, 2026, in its pre-launch announcement.

Named locations at a glance
Embark’s Frozen Trail content preview names a supermarket, a lifeless town square, an observatory, a buried train depot, and the fallen Emperor. Beyond those names, the official material says little about what each location holds. The launch-day Beebom guide adds two more locations, Almatera Station and Railyard, along with loot descriptions that are early reporting rather than official data.
| Location | Source of the name | Loot notes | Containers | Key access |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Almatera Station | Beebom launch-day guide, October 8, 2026 | Described as a commercial location with industrial and mechanical loot. Beebom warns that loot value changes by map instance. | Not stated | Beebom reports a Pendola Pass Train Station Room here. Not confirmed by official material. |
| Railyard | Beebom launch-day guide, October 8, 2026 | Beebom calls it a strong loot area. Loot value varies by instance, as above. | Beebom reports many containers and wall lockers | Not stated |
| Supermarket | Embark preview, September 23, 2026 | Not stated | Not stated | Not stated |
| Lifeless town square | Embark preview, September 23, 2026 | Not stated | Not stated | Not stated |
| Observatory | Embark preview, September 23, 2026 | Not stated | Not stated | Not stated |
| Buried train depot | Embark preview, September 23, 2026 | Not stated | Not stated | Not stated |

Loot: why there is no fixed best spot
The official Frozen Trail 2.0 patch notes say Embark is testing a Dynamic Loot Zone system, currently exclusive to Pendola Pass. Its stated purpose is to vary loot values in certain areas between raids, so routes are less predictable and scavenging stays dynamic. Because of this, a location that is rich in one raid may be thin in the next.

How to choose a spot on arrival
Since values change, decide on your target before you pick a route:
- Work out which loot category you need, such as industrial or mechanical parts, and compare that against the locations above.
- Check the loot-zone cues in your current raid before committing to a long walk.
- Weigh route exposure to flash freezes and ARC activity against the loot you expect to find.
Early guide picks, flagged as provisional
Beebom’s launch-day guide is the only published source to characterise individual spots. It calls Almatera Station a commercial location with industrial and mechanical loot, and it calls Railyard a strong loot area because of its many containers and wall lockers. Both are reasonable starting points for a route, but they are one outlet’s launch-day impressions. They are not guaranteed rankings, and they do not account for how loot values may have shifted in your raid.
Rank #2
Key rooms: what is confirmed
The only specific key-room lead is the Pendola Pass Train Station Room at Almatera Station, reported by Beebom in its Pendola Pass map guide. Official material does not list a key-room inventory or confirm this room. Check the door and key in your own game before planning around them. No other room names, key requirements, or contents are established.
ARC threats and the Fallen Emperor
The Fallen Emperor
The Emperor is the map’s largest ARC wreck and the main reason Raiders are drawn to the area. Embark says rare technology lies within its collapsed husk. The Hydra protects it, according to Embark’s launch announcement, which also names the Hydra as protecting the Frigate. Embark does not publish spawn coordinates or a schedule for these enemies, so approach the Emperor expecting strong defenders rather than a predictable pattern.
Rank #3
New enemies: Bully and Skulker
The same launch announcement names the Bully and Skulker as new threats at Pendola Pass. Embark describes the Bully as oppressive and aggressive, and the Skulker as stalking from the shadows. Their broad associations with the map are established, but their exact locations and timing are not.
Flash freezes
Embark’s preview describes brutal flash freezes across the valley. The official material does not give exact timing, duration, or damage values, so plan rotations around shelter and exposure in general terms rather than around a fixed storm schedule.
Rank #4
- Capture and Tame Dinosaurs: Discover over 100 different dinosaurs and prehistoric creatures on the island, finding ways to tame them into useful additions for your tribe's dyno herd
- Survive Above All: Hunger, thirst, basic safety, and protecting yourself from the weather are all part of the game
- Harvest, Hunt and Build: Cut down trees and turn them into a basic home, which you can quickly expand into a Jurassic estate. Hunt for meat, scavenge for plants (or start your own garden!)
- Customize Everything: An extensive crafting system invites you to mix and match materials scavenged from the island, while also modifying the colors, textures, shapes, and styles
- Explore the Island: Solve the mystery of The ARK as you explore this massive island, discovering Explorer's Notebooks (filled with clues!) throughout
Planning a run
- Pick a loot target for the category you need, then use the table above only as a starting list.
- Confirm the current raid’s loot-zone cues before moving toward Almatera Station or Railyard.
- If you are going for the reported train-station room, verify the room and key in your game first.
- Route through shelter where you can. Expect the Emperor area to draw Hydra, Bully, and Skulker pressure.
- Plan your extraction before you commit to the Emperor, since the wreck is the most dangerous draw on the map.
What remains unverified
- A stable, verified loot ranking for any location.
- A complete key-room list and confirmation of the reported train-station room.
- Item-level drop data, container counts beyond Beebom’s Railyard description, and enemy spawn positions.
Future official updates or verified in-game mapping may close these gaps. Until then, the points above are the most reliable guidance available.
