The record

Purpose: Veyla Access provides face-first gym door control on HID hardware, with fob, PIN and barcode as backup entry methods.
Member enrollment: Members receive a text and can enroll their face on their own phone in about two minutes, without downloading an app.
Offline operation: The HID Aero controller stores credentials and door rules and makes access decisions locally, so doors continue enforcing them when the internet is down.
Door rules: The app supports per-door schedules, auto-unlock windows, holidays, strike timers, exit and alarm inputs, remote unlock, and site lockdown.
Member system integration: A PerfectGym integration is built, and other member systems can connect through a documented webhook; member records sync in and door check-ins write back.
Visitor access: Visitor credentials can be issued as a keypad PIN or scanner QR code that expires at a chosen time or after one scan.
Mobile app: The Veyla app provides door status, remote unlock, visitor codes, emergency entry and lockdown; Google Play lists an Android app for Veyla customers.
Biometric privacy: Face enrollment uses separate recorded opt-in consent; Veyla says photos are encrypted and stored in Australia, and members can use a fob or PIN instead.
Deletion: Veyla says withdrawing consent destroys the photo and templates on storage and readers, while membership cancellation triggers deletion after a short grace period.
Security: Veyla reports TLS, encryption at rest, database row-level tenant isolation, scoped per-club integration credentials, and outbound-only device connections.
Certifications: Veyla states it does not yet hold SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certification.
Hardware limits: One HID Aero X1100 controller supports two doors on board, with two additional doors per X100 reader interface; gates and turnstiles are available on request.
Support: Existing sites and installers can contact Veyla support by email at [email protected].
Intended customers: Veyla describes its products as entry protection and access control for gyms and highlights 24/7 clubs, chains, and franchises.
