Tentris is a database for storing and querying RDF knowledge graphs using SPARQL 1.1. It keeps RDF graphs in a compressed Hypertrie index designed to reduce memory use. Query processing uses adaptive planning and worst-case optimal joins; results are streamed, without materializing intermediate results. Tentris describes itself as compliant with RDF 1.1 and SPARQL 1.1, so an existing RDF data model need not change when switching. It is also presented as a knowledge layer for GraphRAG, AI agents, and semantic applications that need deterministic retrieval across connected information. The free Community plan includes a single-core license, in-memory storage, transactions, and community support. Its non-commercial license covers private, academic, educational, scientific, evaluation, or research use, but excludes production and revenue-generating use; the EULA says Tentris provides no support or maintenance for that software. Commercial licensing is annual, per CPU core starting at 12 cores, with a 60-day trial license. Cloud availability for Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud is marked coming soon. Install options include Linux, macOS, Docker, and Python, with x86-64 and ARM AARCH64 platforms listed.

Who it is for

The free Community plan is intended for developers, students, and researchers using the software for non-commercial work. The Commercial plan is described for organizations concerned with data sovereignty and strict compliance.
