SITE123

SITE123 is a hosted website builder for individuals and small organizations that want a guided way to publish without taking on design or technical work. It is most compelling when a site also needs bookings or straightforward online sales, but less so for projects that need portability or a generous free tier.

Overview

SITE123 brings website creation and hosting together, using pre-designed layouts and structures for people without technical or design experience. Its responsive sites support desktop, smartphone, and tablet screens. That makes it a practical home for an organization’s core web presence, though the proprietary service creates a real lock-in: sites cannot be downloaded for migration elsewhere.

SSL/HTTPS encryption is built into every site. SITE123 says it does not store full payment-card details; site owners control visitor data and are responsible for privacy notices and consent mechanisms. The company advertises free 24/7 live chat, alongside a support center and email contact.

Key features

Publishing, discovery, and bookings

SEO controls, blogging, image galleries, multilingual websites, and contact forms cover common needs for informational sites. Appointment booking, event ticketing, and restaurant reservations extend the builder to service businesses and venues. These tools can reduce the need to assemble a site from separate services, especially for a small operation; the feature set is less persuasive for a business whose website needs to be highly portable.

Store and integrations

The store supports product options, coupons, inventory controls, shipping and tax settings, and digital product sales. This is a useful set of basics for a modest catalog, but the product is described as offering basic e-commerce, so it is not the strongest fit for a store that needs more than straightforward sales controls.

The App Market lists payment integrations including PayPal, Stripe, Braintree, 2Checkout, Square, and Amazon Pay. Other listed integrations include Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, Facebook Pixel, LiveChat, Tidio, and JotForm, giving site owners ways to connect payments, measurement, and customer contact.

Pricing

SITE123 has a free plan and paid tiers, but no free trial. The Free plan costs nothing and includes 250 MB of storage, 250 MB of bandwidth, and a subdomain. Those caps make it suitable for trying a small site or maintaining a very limited presence, not for a growing site that needs a custom domain; the free plan does not include one.

The paid packages are Basic, Advanced, Professional, and Gold, with custom pricing. They are offered for 3, 12, 24, or 36 months, paid up front, with discounts for longer terms. Email accounts are included with Advanced, Professional, and Gold; the Basic package is paid, with specific features varying by plan. The pricing page advertises paid service from 10.8 /mo, but readers should weigh that against the up-front commitment and longer-term terms. Premium plans carry a 14-day money-back guarantee, not a trial.

Hosting is included, and a custom domain is supported on paid plans. There is no code export, and websites cannot be downloaded from the proprietary service, so choosing a paid tier does not remove the portability constraint.

Platforms

SITE123 is available on the web, Android, and iOS. Its responsive sites are designed to work across desktop, smartphone, and tablet screens.

Who it's for

SITE123 is a sensible choice for individuals, small organizations, and service businesses that value a guided site-building approach and want publishing, booking, or basic store tools alongside hosting. It is a weaker fit for anyone who needs a custom domain without paying, expects substantial free storage or bandwidth, or wants the freedom to download and move a site.

Pros and cons

• Pros: Hosting, responsive layouts, and multiple publishing and booking tools are combined in one service, which suits small sites that need more than a static information page.
• Pros: Built-in SSL/HTTPS and a broad set of listed payment and analytics integrations support basic site operations without requiring every connection to be custom-built.
• Cons: The free plan is capped at 250 MB each for storage and bandwidth and uses a subdomain, limiting its value as a long-term home for a growing site.
• Cons: Paid plans require up-front payment for a selected term, and the service does not offer a trial.
• Cons: Sites cannot be downloaded, so customers cannot take the finished site to another host.

Alternatives

Choose Framer if its free plan’s 500 AI credits, free Framer domain, 1 GB of bandwidth, design pages, and 10 CMS collections better match the site you want to build. Canva Websites is worth considering for a free option that includes 5GB of cloud storage and up to five live Canva-domain websites; its Pro plan is $144 a year.

Mainfolk offers a free plan with a yourname.mainfolk.com address, unlimited edits, about 10 AI assists per month, and community help. Wix Logo Maker is a different kind of option, focused on logo creation, with a free plan that includes 120 AI credits per month, capped at 30 per day, and up to 20 logos as an estimate.

Zarla has a free plan with 75 AI credits, 10 pages per site, preview-only publishing, and unlimited lead-capture forms. Elementor is another alternative for readers comparing website builders. Kleap offers free hosting and SSL on a Kleap address, plus 5 AI credits per day, up to 30 per month.

Verdict

Choose SITE123 if you want a hosted, structured route to a small website and value having publishing, booking, and basic sales tools together. Its central advantage is that breadth in one service; its central drawback is that a site cannot be downloaded, while the free plan’s small quotas and subdomain make it a limited long-term option. Look elsewhere if portability or room to grow on a free plan matters more.
