Optoma Display Share wirelessly broadcasts, shares or streams content from phones, laptops and PCs to a projector or display. Designed for education and business settings, it mirrors Android, iOS, Windows, MacOS and ChromeOS screens. Up to 40 devices can connect at once, and up to four sources can be projected together in split-screen format. Presenters can annotate and save still images. A mobile document viewer supports Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF files, as well as photos, while live camera mode streams a phone or tablet camera as a visualiser. The product also lists images, video, documents and audio as shareable content. Display Share 2 supports AirPlay, Miracast and Google Cast. A configurable four-digit login code can limit access to people outside the room. In Wi-Fi station mode, the sender and display must share a local area network. Listed minimum versions are Android 7.0+, iOS 13.5+, Windows 7+, macOS 10.12+ and ChromeOS v74+. The software is free and supports browser-based Chrome use on Windows and Mac devices.

Who it is for

It suits educators and business presenters who want to share device screens or documents on a projector or display. It can also suit rooms where several sources need to appear together.

What is good

  • Connects up to 40 devices simultaneously
  • Projects up to four sources in split screen
  • Supports annotation and saved presentation images
  • Display Share 2 supports AirPlay, Miracast and Google Cast

What to know first

  • Wi-Fi station mode requires the same local network

Verdict

Display Share combines screen mirroring, document viewing and multi-source projection for classrooms and business settings. Check the local-network requirement and the Android audio limitation if those matter to your setup.
