Instead of ioBroker
ioBroker alternatives
ioBroker unifies devices and services from multiple manufacturers for monitoring, control, and home automation. It runs on a home network, keeps values, history, and rules on the user’s computer, and lets users install only the adapters they need. More than 800 adapters are available, with automation through graphical rules, Blockly, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Node-RED. The free platform supports Matter, Zigbee, Z-Wave, voice assistants, cameras, and energy monitoring across Linux, macOS, Windows, web, API, and self-hosted setups.

An alternative can make more sense for a phone-first experience, a focused device ecosystem, or different remote-access terms. ioBroker.net’s free remote access allows browser visualization but not editing, and it limits data volume and functionality. The free vis-2 license requires an internet connection whenever the adapter starts after a restart. Without a license, its Matter bridge exposes up to five devices to Apple Home, Google Home, or Alexa. Compare device compatibility, local control, automation tools, platform support, camera and energy features, and any device caps or paid tiers before switching.
