BeatDiscovery
What BeatDiscovery is
BeatDiscovery is a beat-making app from Pi-99 LLC for creating, discovering, and exporting beats. Its AI-powered suggestions help users find beats, while the maker says the app can generate millions of patterns and sounds to explore. A workflow described by the maker starts with pro patterns and sounds, then moves through variations, loops, and melodies layered with a built-in synth synchronized to drums. Users can export WAV audio, MIDI, and stems, and create beats offline. The mobile app is described as available for Android and iOS, though the maker’s About page says the iPhone download is coming soon. The app also runs on macOS through a legacy VST3 and Audio Unit plugin; that plugin is discontinued and no longer actively developed, while existing installations continue to work. Mobile purchases go through Apple In-App Purchase or Google Play Billing. Options include a monthly Pack Pass, one-time catalog purchases, and Own Forever, with prices shown in the app at purchase. Pi-99 LLC says artist and technologist Ruckazoid first built BeatDiscovery in 2016 and later rebuilt it under Pi-99.
