If you’re asking, “What Apple TV settings should I review before using Apple Intelligence?”, the practical answer is to check the TV’s existing Siri, history, analytics and voice-recognition controls. These govern Apple TV’s current features; they are not Apple Intelligence switches.
Does Apple TV have Apple Intelligence?
Apple’s September 14, 2026 announcement of Siri AI lists iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27 and visionOS 27 for beta availability. It does not list Apple TV as a platform for Siri AI. Apple TV does have Siri, with its own voice, privacy and analytics controls. Those controls let you manage the existing TV experience, not activate Apple Intelligence. Which Siri settings should you check?
On Apple TV 4K, open Settings > General > Siri. Apple documents these options in its Siri settings guide. Available options can vary by region and hardware.

- Siri: Turn Siri on or off for this Apple TV. Turning it off disables Siri on the TV; it is separate from the other data controls below.
- Siri Language: Choose the language Siri uses.
- Listen for “Hey Siri” on AirPods: Enable supported AirPods listening. Apple’s guide distinguishes the behavior of AirPods Pro 2, and this option is not required to use Apple TV’s other Siri controls.
- Siri & Dictation History: Use the dedicated command to delete Siri and dictation history associated with this Apple TV from Apple’s servers. Deleting history is not the same as disabling Siri or changing the improvement-data opt-in.
- Always Show Speech: Show a transcription onscreen while you use Siri.
- On-Screen Actions: After pressing the Siri/Search button, use your voice to select named controls shown onscreen.
- Use with Ask Siri: Choose which apps can be used with Siri. An app may also have its own settings to adjust.
Where are Apple TV’s privacy and analytics controls?
Open Settings > General > Privacy & Security to review privacy permissions. Apple’s privacy settings guide covers controls for app tracking and access to information or features such as location, photos, Bluetooth, microphone, camera, Apple Home and media. Review permissions according to which apps and features you use; the right choice depends on your preferences. Labels or paths can differ by tvOS version.
Analytics choices are also in the privacy settings area. Apple lists Apple TV analytics, sharing analytics with app developers, Improve Siri & Dictation and access to analytics data. These are separate choices, not prerequisites for using Apple TV’s Siri features.

What does Improve Siri & Dictation allow?
Apple’s current Apple TV path is Settings > General > Privacy > Analytics & Improvements > Improve Siri & Dictation. The option is voluntary. Apple says opting in allows it to store and review samples of Siri and dictation interactions from the Apple TV, including audio, transcripts and related request data. Leave it off if you don’t want to opt in; enabling it is not necessary to use Siri. Apple describes the setting in its Improve Siri & Dictation support article, published September 16, 2026.
How is deleting Siri history different from opting out of improvement data?
These controls address different things. Turning off Siri disables Siri on the Apple TV. Deleting Siri & Dictation History sends a request to remove history associated with that Apple TV from Apple’s servers. The Improve Siri & Dictation setting controls whether Apple may store and review samples of interactions. Changing one does not replace the other: review each setting according to what you want to control.

Can Apple TV recognize different people’s voices?
Apple TV 4K can set up voice recognition for up to six profiles, according to Apple Support. Users first establish voice recognition using an Apple Account on an iPhone or iPad, or in Home, then check the profile setting on Apple TV under Settings > Profiles and Accounts.
