What to compare before choosing a configuration
- Size: M5 is listed for the 14-inch model, while M5 Pro and M5 Max are listed for both 14-inch and 16-inch sizes.
- Chip tier: Compare the specific M5, M5 Pro or M5 Max configuration rather than assuming the screen size alone determines the price.
- Memory and storage: Select the capacities you need and compare the resulting total; Apple’s buy page presents multiple configurations.
- Display finish: The purchase page offers standard and optional nano-texture display choices. Treat nano-texture as a selected option, not an included feature in every listed price.
- Price date and offer: Keep a current store-page amount separate from historical launch prices and any education pricing.
Availability and environmental claim
Apple’s March 2026 announcement said M5 Pro and M5 Max models would be available through Apple Stores and Apple Authorized Resellers in India. That announcement does not establish present stock at a particular store or city. Apple’s March 2026 environmental report gives the M5 Pro and M5 Max MacBook Pro product family 45 percent recycled content. Apple described the product as part of its effort toward carbon neutrality across its footprint by 2030; that is Apple’s corporate positioning, not an independent environmental assessment.
