The Anker SOLIX S2000 publishes relatively low power-consumption figures, but there is no single number for every idle state: Anker lists 10W for idle and 2W for system standby on its EU page, while its US page advertises 6W for active idle. Those figures describe different markets and states, not a guaranteed rate of charge loss while the station is switched off. They make the S2000 worth considering for portable backup, but do not mean it can be left indefinitely without checking its charge.
What do the S2000’s idle and standby numbers mean?
Anker’s regional product pages describe different operating states. The EU specification lists 10W idle power draw and 2W system standby; the US page advertises 6W active idle. The figures are not interchangeable and should not be combined into one universal idle rating. Anker identifies its comparisons as internal testing, rather than independent measurements. See the EU S2000 specifications and US S2000 product page.

These wattage figures describe power use in specified operating states. They do not establish how quickly an unplugged, switched-off S2000 will lose charge in storage. The sources available here do not include an independently published test of that self-discharge rate, so they cannot support a precise storage-loss estimate.
What can the S2000 power during an outage?
The S2000 is a portable power station, not evidence of whole-home backup capability. Its roughly 2kWh capacity and 1,500W rated AC output make the appliances connected to it—and how long they run—the deciding factors. Check both an appliance’s running wattage and any startup surge against the station’s output limits, then estimate runtime from the actual load rather than capacity alone.

| Published specification | EU product page | US product page |
|---|---|---|
| Capacity | 2,000Wh | 2,010Wh |
| AC output | 1,500W; maximum bypass output 2,300W | 1,500W rated; 3,000W peak |
| UPS switchover | ≤10ms | 10ms |
| Weight | 16.2kg (35.7lb) | 35.7lb in Anker’s comparison table |
These are manufacturer-listed figures from pages accessed October 9, 2026; regional listings differ, and bypass output, rated output, and peak output are not equivalent measures. Check the specification for the exact regional model before relying on a limit. Anker lists MPPT solar input up to 400W on its EU page; verify the regional model’s connector and voltage/current limits before choosing a panel. The EU page also lists a five-year warranty.
How long might it run a refrigerator?
Anker says the S2000 ran a 700L refrigerator for up to 35 hours in its test, with ambient temperature at 77°F, refrigerator setting at 37°F, and freezer at 0°F. This is an Anker internal test result, not an independent test or a guarantee for other refrigerators. Actual runtime depends on the refrigerator, its cycling and usage, and the surrounding conditions. The test and its qualification appear on the US product page.

How should you compare it with other power stations?
Anker’s US comparison table lists these manufacturer-stated figures for three SOLIX models:

| Model | Capacity | Weight | Rated output | Expansion battery |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| S2000 | 2,010Wh | 35.7lb | 1,500W | No |
| C2000 Gen 2 | 2,048Wh | 41.7lb | 2,400W | Supported |
| C1000 Gen 2 | 1,024Wh | 24.9lb | 2,000W | Not stated in the comparison table |
Anker says its low-idle, capacity-class runtime, and efficiency comparisons use internal testing against selected mainstream 2kWh stations under identical conditions. Those are company-reported comparisons, not independently established results for the whole market. For a purchase decision, compare the regional model’s usable capacity, rated and surge output, switching time, weight, recharge inputs, warranty, expansion options, and idle draw in the specific state you need. The table is on Anker’s US product page.

Can you leave the S2000 stored at a low charge?
Do not treat the C1000/C1000X storage schedule as an S2000 instruction. Anker’s C1000/C1000X user guide says that long-term storage at low capacity can lead to quick discharge; it advises weekly charge checks, charging fully if below 30%, and charging to 100% every three months. That guidance applies to those models. The S2000-specific schedule is not established by the sources cited here, so consult the S2000 manual for its storage instructions and check its charge periodically rather than assuming it can be left unattended indefinitely.

What the S2000’s figures do—and do not—tell you
- The regional pages publish low-consumption figures, but distinguish active idle from system standby.
- The figures do not provide a verified self-discharge rate for an unplugged, switched-off unit.
- For outage planning, match appliance running and startup demand to the output rating, and use runtime estimates cautiously.
- For long-term storage, follow the S2000’s own manual rather than transferring another model’s schedule.
