Anchorage Digital announced that it acquired Routable, an enterprise platform for automating business-to-business payouts. The companies did not disclose the purchase price or transaction structure. Anchorage says the deal connects its institutional digital-asset infrastructure with Routable’s payout network, with integrated offerings expected over the coming quarters.
What is known about the acquisition?
Anchorage Digital’s announcement confirms the acquisition but gives no purchase price, deal structure, or other financial terms. It also does not provide comparison data to substantiate the characterization of the transaction as Anchorage’s largest acquisition by team size and revenue. The announcement’s CEO comments and deal description should not be mistaken for disclosed financial terms.

Why did Anchorage Digital buy Routable?
Anchorage describes the strategic fit as combining its institutional infrastructure for stablecoin issuance, custody, and settlement with Routable’s payout-orchestration layer between corporate systems and payment rails. The stated aim is to let enterprise customers manage payouts across fiat and digital-asset settlement through a connected platform.
Anchorage CEO and co-founder Nathan McCauley said: “These entities move billions every day, and until now, few regulated partners could provide a seamless offering across both fiat and digital assets. With Routable, Anchorage Digital has become that partner.” The reference to entities moving billions is illustrative; the announcement does not identify it as Routable’s transaction volume.

What does Routable do?
Anchorage describes Routable as a developer-first API for commercial and enterprise businesses. Its stated functions include onboarding and verifying payees, automating tax and compliance workflows, and orchestrating high-volume payouts to recipients such as creators, contractors, sellers, drivers, and affiliates.
- Payee and compliance workflows: The company says its platform supports tax documentation and compliance features including W-9s, W-8s, and 1099s.
- Payment reach: Anchorage says Routable reaches more than 220 countries and supports fiat and stablecoin payouts.
- Named enterprise clients: The announcement identifies Veho, Ethos, and Polestar.
These are descriptions and claims in Anchorage’s announcement, not independently tested product findings. It reports that Routable grew over 100% for two consecutive years, but supplies no revenue base, exact accounting periods, or methodology; the figure is therefore a company-reported claim, not a verified financial statistic.

What changes for customers, and when?
The announcement says the combined company serves clients across both businesses “from day one.” It also says integrated offerings are expected over the coming quarters, without giving an exact launch date or technical implementation details.
Anchorage describes Routable as slated to support settlement in dollars, euros, stablecoins, or tokenized deposits, and characterizes native stablecoin and tokenized-deposit settlement as planned for Routable. The announcement does not establish that every described settlement option is already available through an integrated product.

Routable CEO and co-founder Omri Mor said: “Joining Anchorage Digital means our clients get the same rails they rely on today, plus a regulated bridge into digital assets the moment they want it.” Routable co-founder Tom Harel said: “The companies we serve don’t think in terms of digital assets versus fiat, they think in terms of payouts that arrive. This acquisition means they never have to choose.” These statements express the companies’ intended customer proposition, not a dated feature-availability commitment.
