1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteANBERNIC has begun removing optional, game-loaded microSD-card bundles from several official handheld listings. Reports published on October 15, 2026, found that the RG SP listing now shows only a 16GB card, while Android models including the RG Rotate have lost larger-card choices. The remaining RG SP card is described as carrying the device’s stock firmware, making it different from optional expansion cards marketed with large game collections.
What changed on ANBERNIC’s store
Android Authority compared an archived August 14 RG SP listing with the current storefront and found that the selectable card variants had been reduced to a single 16GB option. Retro Handhelds reported the same result and said the card is still required for the handheld’s stock firmware. The reports also identified similar removals on Android listings, including the RG Rotate.

Retro Handhelds described the rollout as staged: some bundled-card choices were initially visible when customers selected China shipping, then disappeared. The exact percentage of affected listings and a complete model-by-model inventory have not been published.

Why the timing is significant
The storefront changes followed an Entertainment Software Association (ESA) submission to the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR). As quoted by Ars Technica, ESA said ANBERNIC devices “are routinely offered or shipped with removable memory cards preloaded with hundreds or thousands of unauthorized copies of copyright-protected video games published by ESA members.” ESA also argued that selling ROM-filled devices through ordinary retail channels can “normalize hardware-based piracy by delivering illicit catalogues through a polished consumer product.”

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
Android Authority reported that ANBERNIC had not confirmed the listing changes were a response to the ESA submission. The timing is therefore notable but not proven to be causal. Neither report establishes that every removed card contained unauthorized games, and the change itself is not a published legal finding.
Is ANBERNIC being investigated for piracy?
The available reporting concerns allegations and policy pressure, not a court judgment or announced criminal case against ANBERNIC. USTR’s March 3, 2026 release said its 2025 Notorious Markets List identified 37 online markets and 32 physical markets. USTR explicitly says the list is intended to raise awareness and help authorities prioritize intellectual-property enforcement; it does not itself constitute an exhaustive list or a finding of legal violations.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
Ars Technica reported that appearing in the list would not automatically impose direct legal consequences on ANBERNIC, although inclusion could precede additional scrutiny, enforcement activity or import restrictions. The ESA submission and the store changes should therefore be treated as separate facts unless ANBERNIC or a government agency confirms a direct connection.
Does the RG Rotate still come with a game-loaded SD card?
The October 15 reports found that the RG Rotate listing had lost additional microSD-card options. They do not establish that every regional listing, reseller listing or existing order has identical contents. A current product page should be checked for the exact shipping region, card capacity and wording about included storage.

Third-party sellers may continue to add their own cards, including cards advertised with ROM collections. That seller-added accessory is not the same as storage supplied by ANBERNIC, and its legality and provenance must be evaluated separately.
What microSD card do you need?
If a handheld requires a card for stock firmware, do not treat that card as ordinary removable expansion storage. Keep the original card, make a verified backup before changing files, and confirm the manufacturer’s instructions for restoring firmware. Replacing it with a blank card can prevent the device from booting.

For extra Android storage, buy a separate microSD card only after checking the specific model’s supported capacity and formatting requirements. The cited reports do not publish a universal capacity or compatibility table for ANBERNIC’s Android range, so a card that works in one model should not be assumed to work in another. Purchase from a reputable source and avoid listings that promise copyrighted game libraries.
Before you order
- Read the current official listing for the exact model and shipping region.
- Separate the firmware card from any optional expansion-card choice.
- Confirm supported capacity and file-system requirements in the model’s manual or support documentation.
- Check whether a card is included, optional or supplied by a third-party seller.
- Assume that game files require their own copyright permission; hardware ownership does not grant a license to commercial ROMs.
What this means for current owners
Existing owners should not remove or format the firmware card merely because optional bundles are disappearing from the store. If you need more space, preserve the original firmware media and add a separately purchased card that matches the model’s documented limits. Keep backups of personal saves and configuration files before migrating storage.

Lawful emulation can include homebrew software and game backups made where the owner has the necessary rights, but a preloaded card containing unauthorized copies is a different issue. The ESA complaint specifically targets the alleged distribution of copyrighted game files, not the general concept of Android handheld hardware or emulation.
