The same comparison distinguishes the USB-C model from Apple Pencil Pro. It does not list pressure sensitivity, wireless pairing and charging, double-tap, barrel roll, squeeze, haptic feedback, or Find My for Apple Pencil (USB-C). Do not assume that Pro features apply to the USB-C model—or that Apple Pencil Pro is the supported iPhone Duo accessory. Apple’s phone specification names the USB-C Pencil.
When is stylus support available?
A September 9, 2026 Android Authority report described support as arriving “later this year,” citing fine print on Apple’s site. That is a dated report, not confirmation of the phone’s current software status. The technical specification establishes the supported accessory, but the available information here does not establish whether support is enabled on a particular device today. Check Apple’s current support documentation and your phone’s software information for an up-to-date answer.

- Choose the named model: Apple Pencil (USB-C) is the stylus Apple lists for iPhone Duo.
- Confirm current availability: Check Apple’s current product and support information for software status and the accessory’s price.
- Check the box contents: The September 9, 2026 Android Authority report said the Pencil was not included; verify the current bundle rather than assuming it comes with the phone.
- Match features to your use: The USB-C model’s listed features include precision, low latency, tilt, and hover; the Apple comparison does not list the Pencil Pro features noted above for it.
Apple’s specifications confirm accessory compatibility, not every real-world behavior. They do not establish palm rejection on iPhone Duo, tracking across the fold, handwriting performance, app-by-app support, or long-term screen durability with stylus use. Avoid treating iPad feature descriptions as proof of how the phone behaves.
