The official way to get free Stars in Among Us is to watch an optional in-game ad on an eligible Android or iOS account. Each completed ad rewards one Star, up to two Stars per day in countries where the reward is available, according to Innersloth’s April 8, 2026 update. The feature is not available to every account or in every country.

Can you earn Stars by playing matches?
No Star-earning method through ordinary matches is documented in the official sources. Innersloth distinguishes Stars from the currencies and progress earned through play: Beans come from normal online gameplay, while Pods accrue through gameplay when a Cosmicube is active. XP comes from playtime and affects level-based multipliers for Beans and Pods; it is not described as a way to earn Stars. See Innersloth’s currency and Cosmicubes explainer.

| Stars | Premium currency used for special items and some Cosmicubes; eligible mobile players can receive them through the optional ad reward. |
| Beans | Earned through normal online gameplay and used for cosmetics and some Cosmicubes. |
| Pods | Collected through gameplay while a Cosmicube is active and used to unlock its contents. |
| XP | Earned through playtime; affects level-based multipliers for Beans and Pods, not Stars. |
Why the Star ad button may not appear
The documented eligibility limits are mobile platform, account status, permissions, and country availability. The reward is for Android and iOS; guest accounts are excluded, child accounts need full permissions, and the feature is offered only in available countries. Innersloth’s notices do not provide a complete troubleshooting flow, so the absence of the button does not establish which restriction applies. Check that you are signed in to a verified account, review any parental-permission settings, and consult current in-game and official update information.

Are promo codes or purchases another way to get free Stars?
Not according to the official examples available. Innersloth’s October 1, 2026 Impostor Month announcement describes a creator-viewing promotion that unlocks a cosmetic through a unique in-game code; it does not award Stars. The same event lists the Trick Cosmicube at 70 Stars and the Treat Cosmicube at 2,600 Beans. Those are dated event examples, not permanent prices, and illustrate that the currencies serve different store roles.
The official sources reviewed do not establish that a physical game copy, phone or tablet, platform gift card, or merchandise grants Stars. The supported free route is the in-game ad reward where eligible.
