Amazon’s answer to readers who miss physical Kindle page-turn buttons is to sell them as add-ons: a small Bluetooth remote called Kindle Click and a button-equipped Page Turn Cover. Neither puts buttons back on the Kindle itself. Which option makes sense depends on how you read—and, above all, which exact Kindle model you own.
Two accessories, two ways to turn pages
Yanko Design’s October 2026 coverage describes two different formats. Kindle Click is a separate Bluetooth remote; the Page Turn Cover puts controls on a folio case. The remote suits a Kindle propped up on a stand or held at a distance. The cover is for readers who hold the device with the case attached.

Kindle Click: a separate remote
The Click has two tactile buttons for moving forward and back through pages, plus side controls for brightness. Yanko Design reports that pressing both side buttons puts the Kindle to sleep. The remote is rechargeable over USB-C; the coverage says a cable and adapter are not included.

Yanko Design reported a US price of $34.99 in 2026. That is a reported price, not a guarantee of current price or regional availability. The coverage says Click is for Kindle models released in 2024 or later, and specifically excludes the 2022 Kindle and 11th-generation Paperwhite. Because generation names can be confusing, confirm the precise retail model before buying; the source set does not establish an official Amazon product listing for Click.
Page Turn Cover: buttons on a folio
The Page Turn Cover has buttons in the cover and connects to the Kindle through pogo pins. Best Buy says it needs no battery, pairing, or charging. It is a more integrated option for someone who reads while holding the Kindle, but it also means carrying the cover.

Best Buy’s listing specifies only the 2026 Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition and 2026 Colorsoft Signature Edition. Best Buy listed it at $79.99 and gave October 28, 2026 as the release date; both details come from a listing accessed October 3, 2026, so the listed release date was still in the future then. Yanko Design also reported $79.99 in 2026.

Check compatibility before choosing
The Click’s reported 2024-or-later rule is not interchangeable with a generation number: Amazon’s model guide lists devices by family, generation, edition, and release year, and those labels do not always map neatly to the Click coverage’s exclusion examples. Check the model name shown for your device and compare it with the accessory’s current listing rather than assuming that a similar-sounding Kindle is supported.

Amazon’s Kindle identification guide documents several Oasis models with built-in physical page-turn buttons, including the 10th-generation Oasis released in 2019, and the 9th- and 8th-generation Oasis. That is useful context for readers comparing old and new form factors, but it does not establish a complete timeline for when every button-equipped model was sold or discontinued.
Try the no-cost double-tap gesture on supported models
For some newer devices, Amazon documents a built-in alternative that requires no remote or button case: tap the Kindle body to turn a page. The feature uses accelerometer-based tap detection and is listed for the 2024 Colorsoft Signature Edition and 12th-generation Paperwhite Signature Edition.

Amazon’s help page says the gesture was tested with official Kindle Colorsoft and Paperwhite cases, but may not work with every third-party case. It is a gesture, not a tactile button, so it may not suit someone who specifically wants a physical control.
