How much do Amazon Prime and Walmart+ cost?
Amazon lists Prime at $14.99 per month or $139 per year. Walmart lists Walmart+ at $12.95 per month or $98 per year, plus applicable tax; Walmart says fees may vary, so check the price shown for your account at enrollment. Amazon Prime
Amazon describes fast, free same-day, one-day, and two-day delivery on millions of items. Speed depends on the item and destination; same-day delivery is limited to qualifying items and eligible locations. Check the address and the specific order at checkout. Amazon’s Prime benefits page outlines the delivery benefits.

Walmart advertises free next-day and two-day shipping with no order minimum, but most Marketplace items are excluded and freight or location surcharges may apply. That shipping benefit is distinct from delivery from a local store.
Scheduled store delivery as soon as today can have a $0 delivery fee only when an eligible slot is available and the order meets a $35 minimum. Product eligibility, availability, and other delivery speeds or order types may have different conditions. Check the address, basket, and offered slot before treating local delivery as free. What entertainment and other benefits are included?
Prime includes Prime Video, and Amazon describes music and other shopping, entertainment, and pharmacy-related benefits. The practical value depends on which benefits your household uses. See Amazon’s overview of Prime benefits.

Walmart+ members can choose one ad-supported streaming service every 90 days: Peacock Premium or Paramount+ Essential. Account registration is required; higher tiers may cost extra. Which membership is a better fit?
Walmart+ may suit you if…
- You already shop at Walmart often and its shipping or local delivery fits the products you buy.
- Local delivery is available at your address, and your typical scheduled orders meet the $35 minimum for an eligible $0-fee slot.
- You will use its streaming choice or fuel-related benefits.
Amazon Prime may suit you if…
- You frequently order items eligible for Amazon’s delivery options.
- You value Amazon’s delivery network and will use Prime Video or other included benefits enough to justify the higher listed fee.
Neither—or both—may make sense
If you rarely order from either retailer or will not use the bundled benefits, neither membership may justify its annual fee. Some households could find value in both, but count each membership only if the added benefits it provides—beyond what the other already covers—are worth its cost.

- Review a recent month of orders. Note where you shopped, how often you ordered, and which purchases could realistically use each service.
- Check delivery for your address and basket. Test the products you buy, available speeds, local delivery slots, minimums, and any fees at checkout.
- Value only benefits you will use. Decide whether the streaming options, fuel savings, or other benefits replace something you would otherwise pay for.
- Compare with the actual price offered. Include taxes, promotions, or eligible discounts, and estimate avoided delivery fees over a year. Do not treat a company’s advertised savings estimate as guaranteed household savings.
Eligibility and terms can vary by address and location; Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and other territories may have limitations. Confirm current terms and your local availability on the official pages before enrolling.
