Amazon is testing a dedicated Shopping category on Twitch in the United States, according to a report published October 6, 2026. The category features Amazon Live product streams and links viewers to Amazon listings—an experiment that resembles QVC, but does not mean Twitch as a whole is turning into a shopping channel.
What is Twitch’s Shopping category?
Kicks & Grips reported that the Shopping category appeared above Twitch’s main category carousel and also had a link in the site’s top navigation. On a stream’s viewing page, a product carousel linked to Amazon listings. The report described the streams as broadcasts by Amazon Live creators, rather than regular Twitch streamers broadly turning their usual shows into sales programming. Kicks & Grips’ October 6, 2026 report is the source for these test details; no Twitch or Amazon announcement of this specific test was identified.

Why the QVC comparison fits—and where it stops
Like QVC, the described format puts product demonstrations in live video and gives viewers a direct route to shop. The key distinction is scope: the report describes a separate Shopping category drawing on Amazon Live, not a platform-wide change to ordinary Twitch streams. It also does not establish that Twitch’s regular creators are broadly participating or that the test will become a permanent feature.

How this differs from Twitch’s other shopping features
Amazon has described other commerce formats connected to Twitch, but they are not the same as the reported Shopping category.
