Valor Mortis has six swords and firearms to collect: the Saber, Pistol, Rapier, Blunderbuss, Musket and Claymore. The Saber is automatic, while the other five are found during Chapters 2–6. Three separate abilities—Fire, Stasis and Shield—bring the broader Weapons and Transmutations total to nine, but they are not additional weapons.

Chapter-by-chapter route
Chapter 1: Revival
You begin with the Saber in The Battlefield. There is no separate search or combat requirement for this starter weapon.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsChapter 2: Regroup
The Pistol is inside the train car on the left during the bridge platforming section in Valley of Ashes. Because the pickup is required for progression, continuing through the chapter normally leads you to it.

Weapons versus Transmutations
The trophy roadmap’s total of nine “Weapons and Transmutations” combines six physical weapons with three abilities. Fire is acquired in Chapter 1, Stasis in Chapter 4 and Shield in Chapter 8. These abilities are counted for the broader collection objective, but they are not swords or guns and should not be added to the six-weapon list.
Can you return for a missed weapon?
Yes. PowerPyx’s 100% walkthrough reports that important items are not missable and that previously visited areas remain accessible after the final boss. If you run past a table, carriage or church interior during the story, finish the campaign and revisit the relevant chapter area for cleanup rather than restarting your save.
A practical cleanup order
- Check your inventory or collection progress to identify which of the six physical weapons is missing.
- Use the chapter landmarks above to return to the correct zone.
- Repeat the local requirement: platform through the bridge section, defeat the named Volunteer, obtain the Wagon Key, or destroy the church weak points, depending on the weapon.
- Collect the weapon and verify that the broader Weapons and Transmutations count updates if you are pursuing the related trophy.
What is known about weapon power?
The cited location guides establish where and when each item is obtained, but they do not publish a complete authoritative table of damage values or upgrade statistics. That means the locations support a reliable acquisition route, not a numerical ranking of which sword or firearm is strongest. Treat weapon choice as a play-style decision until the game itself displays the relevant stats.
