Battlefield 6 launched with nine maps across five theaters, but there is no single verified roster here of every map available today. EA reported 15 multiplayer maps on July 15, 2026; later that season, it identified Wake Island as the game’s 17th map and added Tsuru Reef. Below is the confirmed launch roster, what the maps are suited to, and what is established about later additions.
How many maps does Battlefield 6 have?
At launch, Battlefield 6 had nine maps across five theaters and 25 combat zones, according to EA’s October 10, 2025 map guide. A combat zone is the playable space configured for a mode, not necessarily a wholly separate map.

EA reported 15 multiplayer maps as of July 15, 2026. In Season 4, EA added Tsuru Reef and Wake Island; its developer guide called Wake Island the 17th Battlefield 6 map. These dated figures establish that the roster grew, but they do not provide a unified, complete count or list for October 2026. Check the in-game map selection or a current EA roster update for the live total.
All nine launch maps, by theater
The play-style descriptions below come from EA’s launch guide. They indicate the kind of combat each map supports, not a ranking or guarantee that every mode uses the same playable space.

Which Battlefield 6 maps are infantry-focused or vehicle-heavy?
For close-quarters infantry combat
EA describes Saints Quarter and Empire State as infantry-oriented. Saints Quarter is a close-quarters map with destructible buildings; Empire State is explicitly described as infantry-only. Hagental Base, added in Season 2, is another infantry-focused option: EA presents it as an underground, close-quarters map built around squad tactics and flanking through tunnels.
Cairo Bazaar, added in May 2026, is a reimagined Battlefield 3 Grand Bazaar experience. EA describes its focus as infantry, destruction, shortcuts, and flanking routes.
For combined-arms and larger-scale combat
Mirak Valley was the largest map at launch and supports varied vehicles across broad terrain. Operation Firestorm combines infantry with tanks, helicopters, and fighter aircraft. New Sobek City includes tanks and attack helicopters, while Siege of Cairo puts infantry and tanks into close interaction.

EA’s July 2026 update named Railway to Golmud among the additions to the 15-map roster. The available dated count confirms its inclusion, but does not establish enough detail here to compare its layout or vehicle balance reliably.
For naval, air, and island-hopping combat
Tsuru Reef is described by EA as a large-scale Pacific battlefield for land, naval, and air combat. Wake Island uses an island-hopping layout that supports naval, air, and infantry combat. The August 2026 developer guide calls Wake Island an atoll map; its designers discussed changing objective spacing and adding a shipwreck with ziplines to give infantry cover and traversal options between land and water.

No—not necessarily. Battlefield 6 can reuse a map’s setting while adapting the combat zone and details for a particular mode. EA says the nine launch maps were divided into 25 combat zones designed around the available modes; playable area, object placement, destruction, scale, intensity, and tactical options can vary.

EA’s example is Siege of Cairo: its Conquest combat zone is called “Exit Strategy,” with sub-areas including Scarab District, Tajir Alley, and Hot Spot. That means recognizing a map name does not by itself tell you which exact space or tactical setup a mode will use. The available sources do not establish that every map appears in every mode.
What is known about post-launch maps?
- Hagental Base: EA’s March 2026 Season 2 update describes an underground close-quarters map emphasizing infantry squad tactics and tunnel flanking.
- Cairo Bazaar: EA’s May 2026 update describes a reimagined Grand Bazaar focused on infantry, destruction, shortcuts, and flanking.
- Railway to Golmud: Named by EA among additions in its July 15, 2026 report of 15 multiplayer maps. That report supports its inclusion, but the map’s detailed characteristics are not established by the cited update.
- Tsuru Reef: Added with Season 4 and described as a large-scale Pacific battlefield for land, naval, and air combat. EA says later updates changed its playable space.
- Wake Island: Added in Season 4 and identified by EA as the 17th Battlefield 6 map. Its island-hopping design supports naval, air, and infantry combat.
The July count of 15 and later 17th-map designation imply at least two additions after the July count; that is an inference from EA’s dated statements, not a complete current roster. The sources cited here do not name every map available as of October 7, 2026, so a list claiming to be exhaustive for that date would go beyond what is established.
