What counts as a weapon in Anime Zero?
Weapons are combat kits, not just equipment items: each gives you a moveset. You can equip two and switch between their movesets, so choosing a weapon involves both its own combat role and what it adds to your second slot.
The October 8, 2026 Update 2 guide lists 14 kits. An earlier Update 1 roster listed 12, so the counts describe different versions rather than one combined roster. The guide’s inspiration column includes characters from anime and games; Hu Tao and Miyabi, for example, come from games.

How to get Shadow Monarch
The guide reports Shadow Monarch as a Nightmare Shadow Gate raid reward, with a 3% chance per clear and a guarantee by 32 clears. It also reports 10 attempts, refilling every three hours. These are guide-reported figures, not official drop-rate documentation; raid rules and rates may change.

Shadow Gate rewards and Red Gates
The same guide reports that a Red Gate appears in one of five runs. Red Gates have 50% more enemy health and a 1.8× coins-and-gems reward multiplier, plus five extra Shadow Essence. It lists 35,425 coins and 710 gems as the clear reward, and gate-rank bonuses of 30% for S, 20% for A, and 10% for B. The guide does not specify how rank bonuses and Red Gate modifiers stack, so those figures should not be combined into a guaranteed payout.
How to get the other non-Arsenal weapons
Mochi Commander
The guide lists the Zenless banner as Mochi Commander’s acquisition route and identifies it as Arcane rarity. It also describes Mochi Turret casts as an option while skill 1 is on cooldown. Banner availability can rotate; verify that it is active in-game.
Flame Director
Flame Director is listed as a reward from the Spirited Away raid. The guide notes that Hu Tao may also be called Paramita Pyre in earlier build recommendations.

Arsenal weapons
The guide lists Cataclysm, Cursed King, Immortal Sovereign, Dragon Eclipse, Lights of Divinity, Divine Emperor, Kings Gambit, Twisted Agony, Rubber Man, Cosmic Warrior, and Thunder Prodigy as Arsenal acquisitions. It does not establish current spin costs or pity thresholds. For general PvE, the Update 2 guide places Shadow Monarch, Mochi Commander, Flame Director, and Cataclysm in S tier; Cursed King, Immortal Sovereign, and Dragon Eclipse in A; Lights of Divinity and Divine Emperor in B; Twisted Agony, Rubber Man, and Kings Gambit in C; and Cosmic Warrior and Thunder Prodigy in D. These are editorial recommendations, not results from a measured damage-per-second comparison. The guide describes the two new Update 2 placements as initial assessments that may change as builds develop.

Use the ranking as a starting point, not a universal ordering. Room-clearing ability and single-target boss performance are different strengths, and results depend on traits, accessories, skill trees, and evolution. Compare kits at similar investment and consider how often you will use each moveset, including during cooldown gaps. A pair bonus can help, but the added moveset may be more valuable than the bonus itself.

- Cursed King + Immortal Sovereign: 10% damage.
- Rubber Man + Divine Emperor: 15% maximum health.
- Cosmic Warrior + Thunder Prodigy: 10% cooldown reduction.

Its stated trait values are Deadeye (+20% damage, +5% critical chance, +50% critical damage), Supernova (+24% damage, +13% cooldown reduction, +20% attack speed), and Ferocity (+18% damage, +8% cooldown reduction, +14% attack speed, +2 speed).
