Radical Fish Games released Alabaster Dawn version 0.2.0 on October 2, 2026. The update adds gameplay previews of Scala Moor and the Trial of Cryo, opens a blocked route in Koro Valley, and introduces the Spear, the Cryo aspect, and a combat-training Dojo. It does not advance the story: the developer says story for the new content is planned for a future update.

What can players try in the new areas?
Scala Moor and the Trial of Cryo
Both locations are presented as gameplay previews, not story-complete chapters. They introduce new enemies, boss fights, and puzzle mechanics; the patch also adds the Cryo aspect. The developer says the update does not extend the story and that the proper story for this content is intended for a future update. If you want to revisit the preview later with its intended story context, the developer recommends keeping a save from before trying it.

Koro Valley
A previously blocked path in Koro Valley is now open. It is a separate exploration change alongside the two preview areas.

How do the Spear, Cryo, and Dojo work?
Spear and Cryo
The Spear is a new melee weapon, while Cryo is a new aspect. The patch notes list them among the combat additions but do not provide a full move-by-move breakdown.
Practice combos at a Waysprout
The Dojo is accessible from any Waysprout and is designed for practicing combos. Players have infinite health and regenerating Divine Charge there. Enemy essences unlock opponents to fight in the Dojo, allowing practice against enemies the player has encountered.
Which controls and combat details changed?
- Swap loadouts: Press the button for the current element’s aspect again to switch loadouts.
- Gamepad aspect control: A new option disables aspect changes from the right stick; this option applies to gamepad controls.
- Rumble: Gamepad rumble can be adjusted. The developer describes the implementation as an initial iteration and says it may change based on feedback.
- Guarding: Guarding and blocking consume stamina. A guard can still begin when stamina is empty, but it breaks if the incoming attack is not parried.
- Boost: The boost recharge rate was decreased by 50%. The developer says compensating enchantments are planned; they are not part of the stated change.
What quality-of-life and audio changes are included?
The update adds map markers, makes Treasure Radar functional, and puts patch notes on the title screen. Gem Forge comparisons now show more information, and the patch also adjusts context help and world-map displays. German localization is included, although the developer cautions that translations may be incomplete for recent additions, particularly preview content.

Is Alabaster Dawn 0.2.0 a story update?
No. Radical Fish Games states, “This update does not extend the story!” Version 0.2.0 is focused on testing new gameplay content, with story for the newly previewed content planned for a future update. Players looking for narrative context should treat Scala Moor and the Trial of Cryo as previews rather than finished story content.
