AION 2 system requirements

The FAQ recommends an SSD; it does not list one as a mandatory requirement. It does not publish frame-rate benchmarks for either tier, so meeting the recommended configuration does not establish a specific FPS or guarantee smooth performance in every situation.

- Check Windows edition, processor and RAM. Right-click Start and open Settings > System > About. Under Windows specifications and Device specifications, check your Windows version, whether the system is 64-bit, your processor model and installed RAM. Compare the full processor name with one of the listed models; having a similar core count alone is not enough to establish equivalent performance. - Check available space on the intended installation drive. Open Settings > System > Storage and check the drive where you plan to install AION 2. You need 100 GB available according to the published requirements. If your PC has multiple drives, Windows’ Advanced storage settings can show storage on other drives. The requirement is available space, not the total capacity printed on the drive.
- Check your DirectX version. Search Start for
dxdiag, open the DirectX Diagnostic Tool, and look for DirectX Version in System Information. AION 2 lists DirectX 12. Microsoft explains DirectX updates and installation in its DirectX support guide. - Identify the exact graphics card. Compare the full GPU model and its memory with the requirement, using Windows’ graphics information or your PC manufacturer’s specifications. Do not assume that a laptop GPU with a similar model name performs like the desktop version: the official requirements do not provide laptop-to-desktop equivalencies. They also do not establish whether a particular integrated GPU is sufficient.
- Compare every component, not just the graphics card. Classify your PC against the lower minimum tier or the higher recommended tier. Check the operating system, processor, memory, GPU, DirectX, internet connection and free space together. The publisher does not provide benchmarks for particular combinations of components, resolutions or presets.
For additional CPU details, Task Manager’s Performance > CPU panel shows cores and logical processors. Those counts are useful specifications, but they do not prove that a processor matches the performance of a named Ryzen or Intel model. What the minimum and recommended tiers mean in practice
If your PC meets the minimum tier
The FAQ associates the minimum configuration with the Very Low preset at FHD resolution for compatibility. That is the publisher’s stated setting guidance, not an FPS target. If one of your components falls below a listed minimum, the available requirements do not establish that the game will work acceptably on that PC.
If your PC meets the recommended tier
At FHD resolution, the FAQ associates the recommended tier with the Low preset for compatibility. The recommendation is not a promise of a particular frame rate, nor does it specify performance at other resolutions or with other graphics presets.

If you have a laptop or integrated graphics
Use the exact GPU model rather than relying on a similar-sounding name. Since the official sources provide no laptop equivalencies or explicit integrated-graphics assessment, they cannot confirm compatibility for an individual laptop or integrated GPU on their own.
Storage and SSD guidance
Plan for 100 GB of available space on the installation drive. An SSD is recommended by the official FAQ, but it is not stated as mandatory. If you are short on space, check other installed drives before deciding you need new hardware; if you have room but use a hard drive, the published guidance still describes an SSD as a recommendation rather than a requirement.
