For Aion 2 combat, use a built-in macro for a short, predictable sequence of repeatable attacks; keep movement, defenses, charged abilities, and burst timing on manual keybinds. A macro can reduce repeated inputs, but it does not make combat automatic—and the available guides do not establish that macros deliver more damage across classes or encounters.
What an Aion 2 macro does
Aion 2’s built-in macro is a held input sequence, not an autonomous combat routine. Guides describe creating the sequence in the Skill window and binding the separate Macro action through Settings → Key Settings → General → Gameplay. The entries refer to hotbar positions; if skills are stacked on a position, the same macro input may try those skills. Holding the assigned key runs the sequence, and releasing it stops the held action. See the setup descriptions from Aion 2 Maps and All Things How.

You still choose your target, move, respond to the encounter, and decide when to start or stop holding the key. The guides differ on some details of ordering and priority, so treat the macro as repeatedly attempting configured hotbar actions rather than assuming it guarantees a particular skill sequence under every cooldown or combat condition.

When a macro is better
A macro is worth trying when the actions form a short, predictable loop and remain useful whenever they are available. Its practical advantage is convenience: fewer separate repeated inputs and a more consistent sequence. It is a poor fit if an action needs a timing decision or becomes harmful when used at the wrong moment.

- Record Combos On the Fly, No Software Required - 5 dedicated macro keys (G1-G5) let you save complex combos or shortcuts directly on the keyboard, plus dedicated media controls for play/pause/skip.
- Swap Switches Without Soldering, Hype Clicky Feedback - The upgraded socket accepts almost any switch, and stock Blue switches deliver a distinct tactile bump and audible click on every keystroke.
- Built to Outlast Daily Gaming - Rated for 50 million keystrokes with double-shot keycaps that resist fading, so the board holds up to years of heavy use.
- Full Anti-Ghosting for Fast-Paced Games - 104 keys register accurately even during rapid multi-key combos, so your inputs land exactly when you press them.
- Optional Software for Power Users - Everyday use needs zero software, but for advanced RGB effects and deeper macro profiles, companion software is available whenever you want to go further.
- Consider automating frequently repeated attacks or filler actions that are useful in routine combat.
- Keep the sequence compact. A long loop can crowd out actions you need to choose deliberately.
- Review every entry after adding it: Aion 2 Maps reports that a new macro step may default to a basic attack.
These are practical setup considerations from guide recommendations, not measured performance results.
When manual keybinds are better
Bind actions manually when their value depends on what is happening now. A fixed loop can expend a useful skill too early, repeat a toggle buff, or attempt an action when its target or cooldown conditions have changed.

- Dynamic RGB Backlighting: Light up your desktop with six onboard lighting effects, assign a color to each lighting zone, or program your own vibrant lighting effects across five RGB lighting zones with CORSAIR iCUE software.
- Six Dedicated Macro Keys: Activate functions, shortcuts, or keypresses in just one stroke with six dedicated macro keys, easily set up through CORSAIR iCUE software, or use instant streaming commands through Elgato Stream Deck software.
- Dust and Spill-Resistant Design: IP42-rated protection guards against accidents so your gameplay never has to stop.
- Detachable Palm Rest: A soft rubber palm rest reduces stress on your hands so you can play longer in comfort, with a textured surface to keep your hands from slipping.
- Dedicated Volume and Media Keys: Convenient control for media playback and fine-tuning volume on-the-fly without having to interrupt your game.
- Movement and gap closers: choose direction and timing in response to positioning.
- Defenses, cleanses, and interrupts: use them when a threat or status effect calls for them.
- Charged abilities: control when to begin and complete the charge.
- Major burst skills: save them for an appropriate encounter window rather than leaving them in a repeated loop.
Keep enough manual control to move and respond while a macro is running. If the sequence interferes with either, shorten it or return those actions to individual keybinds.
How to decide what belongs in the sequence
For each candidate skill, ask whether it is useful in most repetitions or whether its value changes with the situation. Also consider whether it is a toggle or charged ability, whether cooldowns or other preconditions can disrupt the sequence, and whether you can still control movement and responses. These criteria help decide what to test; they are not a class-specific damage formula.

- DOUBLESHOT ABS KEYCAPS: Using a doubleshot molding process to ensure the labeling never wears off while having extra-thick walls to withstand intense gaming
There is no established universal DPS winner. The available sources are gameplay guides, not controlled comparisons across classes, builds, and encounters, and they provide no comparable benchmark. Test the arrangement in your own client and judge whether it improves your execution without delaying a response you would normally make manually.
Set up and tune the macro
- Open the Skill window and configure a short sequence using the hotbar positions you intend to use. Check each new entry, including any defaulted basic attack.
- Open Settings → Key Settings → General → Gameplay and bind the Macro action to a comfortable key.
- Hold the bound key to run the sequence; release it when you need to stop. A mouse side button is optional if it is comfortable to hold, but a keyboard key works too.
- Test the sequence on a training dummy. Aion 2 Maps reports a minimum delay of 10 ms and recommends starting there, then increasing it slightly if actions fail to register.
- Change one setting at a time and check whether each action registers reliably in your current client. Shorten the sequence or remove situational skills if the loop behaves poorly.
Delay advice is not settled. Aion 2 Maps and All Things How describe 10 ms as a common starting point, but All Things How also reports disagreement about whether network latency should change the delay. Another guide offers ping-based recommendations as community experience, not official guidance. Do not treat a ping-to-delay value as a verified rule; use observed registration in your client instead. Interface paths and settings may also vary by client or patch.

Built-in macros, external tools, and account-policy uncertainty
This guide concerns the built-in macro feature. A community guide distinguishes it from external programmable-device macros and says those may violate the agreement, but the current official policy text was not established by the available sources. Do not treat that community statement as definitive legal or account-safety guidance; check the current official terms before using external automation.
