How do you set up an AION 2 macro?
Current Global-focused guides describe setting up a sequence in the Skills screen, then assigning a key to the Macro action. These are guide-reported instructions rather than a located official manual, and labels may change by patch or region.

- Open the Skills screen with K and use its Macro control to configure the sequence.
- Open Settings → Key Settings → General → Gameplay → Macro and assign a key.
- Hold the assigned key to run the sequence. The Global-focused guide says releasing the key stops it.
Another current guide describes macro steps as hotkeys, with multiple skills potentially stacked on a hotkey. Check the live client’s hotkey contents and step order if the sequence does not use the ability you expect; this behavior is reported by a secondary guide, not confirmed in an official manual.

What commands does the AION 2 macro support?
The available AION 2 Global-focused guides describe an in-game skill-sequence workflow, not a verified slash-command language. They do not establish an official, exhaustive command list.

Do not assume that legacy Aion commands such as /skill, /use, /target, or /delay work in AION 2. The Japanese Power Wiki documents those commands for legacy Aion; it does not establish AION 2 support.
How many steps can an AION 2 macro have?
An official maximum step count has not been established by the available AION 2 sources. Current secondary guides discuss sequencing skills and per-step delays but do not provide a verified official capacity limit or delay bounds. Treat any specific number found in legacy Aion documentation as unrelated unless current AION 2 documentation confirms it.

How should you set macro delays?
The Global-focused guide presents differing approaches to step delays and recommends testing rather than treating one value as authoritative. Try the sequence on a training dummy, then adjust delays if steps are missed. There is no verified official delay setting to apply universally.
Why does my macro do nothing?
- Confirm that you created a sequence through the Macro control in the Skills screen.
- Check that a key is assigned under Settings → Key Settings → General → Gameplay → Macro.
- Hold that assigned key while testing; the Global-focused guide says the sequence runs only while it is held.
Why does my macro stop or change after I switch presets?
The Global-focused guide says each of the three skill presets has its own macro and only the active preset’s macro runs. A current community guide also reports that switching presets stops a running macro. Configure the sequence on each preset you use, and restart it after switching if needed.

Why are skills skipped or the wrong skill used?
- If steps are missed, test the sequence on a training dummy and adjust its delays; guides differ, so do not assume a particular delay is official.
- If an unexpected ability fires, inspect the hotkey contents and sequence order in the live client. A community guide reports that stacked skills on a hotkey can affect which skill is available or fires.
Does NCSOFT allow macros and automation?
NCSOFT’s January 28, 2026 English announcement describes measures against bots and unauthorized automation. It says the minimum level for gathering activities was raised to level 45 to further limit automated gathering macros. The same announcement describes a skill-use quality-of-life feature that allows basic-attack cancellation with left or right mouse clicks. It does not spell out a complete rules matrix for every external input device or macro configuration.
In a December 12, 2025 Korean announcement, NCSOFT said it had filed a complaint against five users over illegal macro programs and reported 72,621 accounts restricted across 23 rounds of operational-policy enforcement since launch. Those are publisher-reported enforcement figures; they are not an estimate of how widespread automation is and do not establish that the built-in skill-sequence feature is itself prohibited.
