In Verteron, start at Ellun River Midstream and search the ravine to its west, past Pamos Farm. In Altgard, sweep the area between Silent Hill and Tranein Pond, including Fang Hideout and Temporary Retreat. These are recommended search areas, not guaranteed cube locations: Hidden Cubes can appear at different candidate spots, and some are underwater.
Best Hidden Cube search areas
Verteron: Ellun River and the western ravine
Search around Ellun River Midstream, then check the upper ravine west of the river, past Pamos Farm. The Destructoid Global guide published October 6, 2026 notes that many candidate spots in this area are underwater. Check the water as well as the banks and paths.

Altgard: Silent Hill to Tranein Pond
Search between Silent Hill and Tranein Pond, including the Fang Hideout and Temporary Retreat hunting-ground areas. The same guide describes these as early-accessible areas where possible cube spots are easy to miss.

How to find a live cube
A marker on a map is a possible position, not confirmation that a cube is there now. Corpus’s map data groups many candidate spots together: its figures list 95 Verteron spawn groups with 1,440 candidate spots, and 59 Altgard groups with 1,371 spots. These are Corpus map-data counts, not official published statistics. A cube found at one candidate position may appear elsewhere on another visit. Corpus’s Hidden Cube map can help plan a search cluster.
- Search the surrounding terrain. Do not stop at the exact map dot; check nearby ground, slopes, ravines and water.
- Listen for the audio cue. Corpus estimates its “heard a cube” map filter at about 130 metres. Treat that as an estimate: terrain, elevation and audio settings can affect what you hear.
- Use map filters as planning aids. Corpus’s tool can filter ground and water candidates, search place names, display numbered positions by group and narrow candidates from a point where you heard a cube. It cannot identify which candidate currently has an active cube.
According to MetaBot.GG’s analysis of Global client data, a cube allows one interaction, takes four seconds to open, and despawns after opening. That analysis does not establish a respawn timer, so there is no reliable interval to wait for or promise that the same spot will be active again. MetaBot’s Hidden Cubes guide explains its client-data interpretation.
How to get Hidden Cube keys
The Destructoid Global guide lists these routes. Its shop prices, limits and reward details are a snapshot from October 6, 2026; check the live game for current stock and terms.
- Progress through quests: Main Story Episodes, Regional Quests and Daily Quests.
- Claim progression rewards: Achievements and Daeva Pass level rewards.
- Collect attendance rewards: Check Daily Attendance.
- Upgrade monoliths: The guide says Verteron and Altgard monolith upgrades at levels one through six award one key each; levels seven and eight award two keys each, among other rewards.
- Check the shops: The guide lists Tsenka Merchants at 50 Quna per key, capped at three per day, and the A2 Mileage shop at 2,000 Mileage per key. Confirm current price, cap and availability in the client before spending.
Other third-party lists do not match exactly. Corpus also names Duty Missions and Duty Scrolls, along with monolith levels, achievements, attendance, passes and shops. The available sources do not establish that every route is available in every region or client version, so use the in-game rewards and shop listings as the final check. Corpus’s guide and map provides its separate list.

Zone access and key rules depend on client version
For Global players, the clearest common ground in the current guides is Verteron and Altgard. Do not assume Eltnen or Morheim is available in your Global client: third-party sources differ. MetaBot.GG’s October 6, 2026 client-data analysis lists four field maps—Verteron (95), Altgard (59), Eltnen (26) and Morheim (26)—for 206 cubes and 3,722 candidate spots in total. By contrast, Aion 2 Hub search-result text described Eltnen and Morheim as Korea/Taiwan maps and not part of the Global client as of September 19, 2026. These are third-party descriptions of potentially different client states, not official zone-availability confirmation.
Key requirements also vary in those accounts. MetaBot’s analysis says every Verteron and Altgard cube is key-only, while some Eltnen and Morheim versions can be opened without a key. Aion 2 Maps, updated September 28, 2026, says all Global cubes are key-only. Check the zone and interaction prompt in your own client rather than applying a rule from another region or map. Aion 2 Maps’ Hidden Cube page gives its version of the requirements.
