NCSoft’s October 6 report named two charts: Popular New Releases and Trending Free, both global Steam charts. They are not the same as Steam’s Top Sellers chart, which the publisher discussed in connection with the earlier paid Early Access period. The distinct chart names matter: Top Sellers is the publisher’s claim about paid Founder’s Pack Early Access, while the October 6 claims concern Popular New Releases and Trending Free after global free-to-play service began. The figures refer to different dates and periods; they should not be combined into a single undated “Steam No. 1” claim.
Is AION 2 free to play?
Steam lists AION 2 as free to play, developed and published by NC, and playable on PC.
