AION 2 launched globally on PC on October 5, 2026, and NC America lists Steam and its PURPLE platform as ways to play. To check whether your PC is ready, compare its processor, memory, graphics card, DirectX support, Windows version and free storage with the official requirements below. Those requirements are publisher guidance, not independent performance benchmarks.
What are AION 2’s PC system requirements?
The official AION 2 Global Support FAQ, dated July 21, 2026, lists the following minimum and recommended specifications. It recommends an SSD and gives graphics-preset guidance for FHD resolution.

The 100 GB figure is the FAQ’s available-storage requirement, not a promise that the game’s installed size will always be exactly 100 GB. Leave additional room for Windows, updates and other files. The FAQ does not state expected frame rates, laptop-GPU equivalents, performance at resolutions other than FHD, or how the game will run on hardware outside these listed tiers.
Can your PC run AION 2?
Compare your full system with the official table rather than judging by one component alone. A processor or graphics card with a similar-sounding name is not enough to establish equivalence, particularly for laptop hardware; the FAQ does not provide a conversion guide.

- Check that Windows is 64-bit and that your PC supports DirectX 12.
- Compare your exact CPU, graphics card and VRAM, and installed RAM with the minimum and recommended tiers.
- Check available disk space before installation, and consider the FAQ’s SSD recommendation.
- If your system is near the minimum tier, treat the FHD Very Low preset as the FAQ’s compatibility guidance, not a tested promise of smooth play.
These specifications come from the official support FAQ, not a published independent benchmark. They do not establish a specific frame rate or guarantee the same experience across different PCs.
How to get started on PC
- Check current requirements: Review the official support FAQ before downloading or changing hardware; requirements and service details can change.
- Choose a platform: NC America announced availability through Steam and NC’s PURPLE platform. Check their current regional availability and account and installation requirements. The announcement does not establish that one platform performs better than the other.
- Make room and install: Plan for at least the FAQ-listed 100 GB of available storage, with extra space for updates and other files. An SSD is recommended by the FAQ.
- Set an initial graphics preset: At FHD, the FAQ advises Very Low for minimum-spec hardware and Low for recommended hardware. It does not provide a benchmark-backed optimization guide.
- Check official notices: Review the official AION 2 site for current service details and time-sensitive reward eligibility or claim deadlines.
What kind of game is AION 2?
NC America describes AION 2 as an open-world fantasy MMORPG built around flight, freedom of movement, underwater exploration and aerial combat across PvE and PvP. Its description says combat combines precision, timing and positioning with traditional tab-targeting. These are publisher descriptions, not independent assessments of how the game feels to play.
The announced activity range includes solo and four-player dungeons, eight-player raids, 1v1 and 4v4 arenas, cross-server Realm-vs-Realm battles and the faction-based Abyss. NC describes eight classes and more than 200 character-customization features. Its current site showcases five-player dungeons including Krao Cave, Urugugu Canyon, Fire Temple and Draupnir, and says pets can provide benefits such as auto-looting and can become rideable mounts. These are examples and descriptions, not a complete content list or a guide to which class or pet to choose.

When did AION 2 launch, and where is it available?
AION 2’s global service launch was October 5, 2026, according to the official site. NC America announced on September 30 that Early Access began that day for purchasers of one of three Founder’s Pack tiers, five days before launch; that is historical launch information, not an indication that those packs or prices are still available.
NC America’s April announcement named Steam and PURPLE for PC distribution and listed locally hosted servers in North America, South America, Europe and Japan, along with 10 in-game language options: English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese. Server coverage and language availability can change, so check current official notices for what applies in your region.
NC America also described the world as 36 times the size of the original AION. That is the publisher’s comparison; it does not include an independently stated world-area measurement method.
