The often-described “glide exploit” is better treated as a reported momentum technique: it may stretch the distance you get from your existing gauge, but it does not increase the gauge’s maximum, and its timing can be risky.
What Flight Power does—and why region matters
Flight Power is described in recent guides as the resource pool for powered flight. The official NCSOFT Taiwan guide confirms the underlying limitation: both flight and gliding consume the flight gauge, and running short causes your character to fall. See the official Taiwan flight and glide guide.

Whether the detailed Flight Power wing system applies to your client is less certain. Recent guides describe Flight Power as an Owned Effect from wings, with the bonus remaining active even when those wings are not equipped; they also describe enhancement as another possible way to increase the pool. But a September 2026 reference distinguishes regional wing data from features officially confirmed for the global build it reviewed. Check your own Wings interface and current documentation for your server before relying on a particular wing, bonus, or enhancement value. The available sources do not establish a universal wing list or stat table. Use the reported glide-momentum technique
The technique alternates a powered boost with a glide phase, aiming to carry forward momentum while spending less time in powered flight. It is not a permanent Flight Power increase.

- Press V to start flying and hold W to move forward.
- Press Shift to accelerate.
- Press V again to end powered flight and transition to gliding.
- Continue moving forward while the character carries momentum.
- When speed begins to drop, reopen flight and boost again if you have enough gauge and altitude.
The Taiwan guide lists V for starting or ending flight, Space for starting or ending gliding, Shift for acceleration, and W for faster forward movement while gliding; it also says flight and gliding share a cooldown and can be switched between immediately. The reported momentum sequence appears in recent guides and a community post describing “dash, cancel, dive, re-glide.” These accounts do not establish that it is a bug, an officially sanctioned exploit, or functional in every patch. Manage altitude as carefully as speed. The technique can cost height, and mistiming the return to flight can leave too little gauge or altitude to avoid a fall. Treat it as a situational movement option rather than a guaranteed way to cross any distance.

Ways to extend or restore your flight gauge

Keep regional and patch claims in perspective
Do not assume a detailed stat system described for one regional client is present in every Aion 2 version. The official Taiwan page establishes the basic controls and gauge behavior, while secondary sources provide the more specific wing, item, and route advice. Confirm those systems in your own client before investing resources or following a route.

One October 2026 guide claims Flight Power drains at half the normal rate in the Abyss, but that figure is not independently corroborated in the available sources. It should not be treated as a general rule. A community report of reaching a ceiling after sustained upward flight is likewise anecdotal, not a verified universal flight limit: community report on flying upward.
