Click Publish in the editor and wait for the success confirmation; then check the site in a private browser window. If the public page still looks unchanged, use the checks below to narrow down where the problem is.
First, confirm the edit was saved and publish it
Manual-mode changes are saved automatically inside the editor, but must be published to appear online. Current manual-mode instructions call the button Publish; older or general Builder guidance may say “Update website.” Use the label shown in your editor.

- Check that the edit is visible in the editor. Autosave is enabled by default, but it can rarely fail, for example after poor connectivity or an unexpected power outage. If the edit is missing in the editor, restore it there before troubleshooting the live site.
- Click Publish in the top-right corner and wait for the success confirmation.
- Give the update a few minutes, then open the site in a private or incognito window, or use preview mode. A private window helps determine whether the public site updated but your normal browser is showing an older view.
The Help Center, in AI Builder: How to save changes in manual mode, says: “The changes are automatically saved within the editor. For the changes to reflect online, make sure to update your website.” Its related page, AI Builder: How to update a website in manual mode, says: “Update your AI Builder manual mode website to view your latest changes live.”
If the site is still unchanged, check visibility and content settings
Coming Soon mode
If visitors see a placeholder instead of your site, Coming Soon mode may be enabled. In the editor, open Pages, find the Coming Soon page, and switch its toggle off if the site should be public. Publish the change.

Store product status
If the missing content is a product, check its status as well as the page. Confirm that the page contains a product section. Then open Online store → Products, set the intended product to Active, save it, and publish the site from the main editor. Publishing the page alone does not make an inactive product visible.
Rule out browser, session, and domain issues
Check for a stale browser or network view
Compare the site in a private window or preview mode. If needed, clear the browser and DNS cache, or check from another network, such as mobile data. These checks can help isolate a stale view; they do not establish that caching is the cause.

Use one editor session
Close extra Builder tabs and sessions on other devices. Editing from multiple sessions at once can cause synchronization problems. If changes were made across sessions, reapply any missing edits in the one active session and publish again.

Find the likely stage of the problem
- Edit absent in the editor: Check whether the change persisted; autosave can rarely fail.
- Edit visible in the editor but absent online: Publish and wait for confirmation, then verify privately.
- Placeholder or missing store item: Check Coming Soon mode or the product’s Active status, as applicable.
- Different result across browsers or networks: Check for a stale browser or DNS view.
- Changes made in multiple sessions: Continue from one editor session and publish again.
- Custom domain connected recently: Check with the preview domain while the custom domain propagates.
These checks cover common causes, but they cannot determine the cause on a particular site without access to its settings and current state.
