agc-cli is an open-source Go command-line interface for managing Huawei AppGallery Connect through repeatable terminal commands and scripts. Its announcement describes workflows for app information, publishing requests, localized metadata, testers, products, provisioning, reviews and more. It reports 13 API families and 156 registry entries; those counts describe listed definitions, not proof that every endpoint has been validated in production.
What agc-cli is designed to do
The project grew from its author’s desire for an App Store Connect-style terminal workflow for HarmonyOS development. Rather than repeatedly carrying out tasks in a web console, developers can construct requests with commands and parameters, reuse them in scripts, and capture machine-readable output.

The announcement describes command areas covering app information and localized metadata, publishing requests, testers and tester groups, products and subscriptions, HarmonyOS provisioning, reviews, reports, projects, SDK configuration, and domains. Its reported registry of 13 API families and 156 entries is a measure of definitions included in the tool, not a guarantee that every call is ready for every account or app. Huawei’s API permissions, required fields, and business prerequisites still apply.

The project announcement describes installation through Homebrew on macOS, Scoop on Windows, and release archives on Linux. It says release binaries do not require Go to be installed. Because release availability and instructions can change, check the project’s current installation documentation before choosing a package or archive.

- Prepare an AppGallery Connect app ID and a Service Account JSON credential.
- Save the credential through the CLI’s authentication command:
agc auth login. - Bind the project profile with
agc init. The announcement’s example stores project configuration in.agc/project.json.
Authentication alone does not supply every request parameter or grant every API permission. Some endpoints may also require a client_id header, and requests still need an explicit app ID and any other endpoint-specific fields.
Preview a request before sending it
The announcement says dry-run is the default. In that mode, the CLI constructs a request and displays its HTTP method and target URL without sending it. For example, preview an app information query with:

Use commands in scripts and other tools
Save localized responses
The announcement illustrates looping through zh-CN and en-US app information queries and saving each raw response body with --out. The pattern lets a developer pass results to their own processing steps rather than manually copying output from a console.

doneCommand flags and required parameters can vary by endpoint; consult the CLI’s current help and endpoint definition before using a loop in a production script. The announcement says JSON is the default output, with table and markdown formats also available.

Check the gaps before adopting it
The project announcement lists complete binary and multipart upload orchestration and local Hvigor execution as not yet implemented. Teams whose workflows depend on those capabilities should not assume the CLI covers them end to end.
- Confirm the current release: the announcement does not establish a current version or release state. Check the project’s latest release and installation guidance before rollout.
- Verify each API operation: the registry count is not evidence of successful production calls. Check the current Huawei API documentation for endpoint parameters, permissions, and business prerequisites.
- Test safely: use the default dry-run to inspect method and URL, then test actual requests with suitable credentials and a non-critical workflow before scripting changes.
- Plan around missing workflow support: account for upload orchestration and local Hvigor work separately if either is required.
The available announcement is by Createitv, published in 2026. It describes the tool and its intended workflows, but does not independently establish current release availability or verify every endpoint against Huawei’s live APIs.
