Neither AffiliateX nor AAWP is an evidence-based universal winner. Choose AffiliateX if you need Elementor support or documented eBay and AliExpress integrations; choose AAWP if its Amazon-focused product displays, shortcodes, and Gutenberg block fit your publishing workflow. The available product pages describe features, not independent speed, conversion, reliability, or support results.

Which editor and content workflow do you use?
Choose AffiliateX for Gutenberg or Elementor
AffiliateX’s WordPress listing describes block-based workflows in Gutenberg and Elementor and says it does not work with the Classic Editor. That makes it a more direct fit if Elementor is central to your site or if you want its affiliate components as blocks. If your existing pages rely on the Classic Editor, plan for a different editing workflow rather than assuming the plugin will slot in unchanged.

Choose AAWP if its shortcodes fit your site
AAWP documents both shortcode-based features and a Gutenberg block. Shortcodes can suit sites that already use them to place repeatable product elements, while the block offers a Gutenberg route. The AAWP documentation index covers topics including API credentials, PA-API migration, product boxes, comparison tables, Gutenberg, click tracking, and licenses; consult the current individual instructions for setup details. Compare the product elements you actually publish
Both plugins offer ways to present products and comparisons, but their published feature lists are not identical. AffiliateX lists product, comparison, versus, pros-and-cons, call-to-action, and verdict blocks. AAWP lists product boxes, comparison tables, product data fields, text links, bestseller lists, and new-release lists. Match these components against your real article formats; a longer feature list does not establish better reader engagement or sales.

Check Amazon data access before choosing
AffiliateX: API and Zero API claims
The WordPress listing says AffiliateX can use Amazon API integration to import product titles, images, descriptions, and prices and update product data. It also describes a Pro Zero API option for adding products without PA-API access and states a limit of 3,000 monthly product requests per Pro license. These are listing claims, not independently verified service limits; confirm the current plan terms and what counts as a request before relying on them. The listing also states that new associates need three sales in 180 days to qualify for API access. Treat that as the listing’s description, not a current statement of Amazon policy; verify eligibility in Amazon’s official rules for your marketplace.
AAWP: PA-API and its separate API option
AAWP describes automated product information updates through Amazon’s Product Advertising API and links to an AAWP API option for situations where PA-API is unavailable. Confirm current Amazon access eligibility, the data each route supplies, update frequency, service limits, and any separate service terms before building your workflow around either option.

Look beyond Amazon only if your site needs it
AffiliateX’s listing explicitly names eBay Partner Network and AliExpress Affiliate Program support in Pro, alongside Amazon. AAWP’s cited feature page documents multiple Amazon locales but does not establish non-Amazon retailer integrations. If your content covers those additional marketplaces, verify that the specific network and feature you need are currently supported; otherwise, this difference may not matter.
Consider the maintenance tools and costs separately
Monitoring and maintenance
AffiliateX’s listing describes built-in click analytics and a broken-link checker. AAWP documents caching and the ability to create affiliate tracking ID links. The cited AAWP feature page does not establish equivalent click analytics or a broken-link checker, so compare the exact reporting and maintenance tasks you need rather than assuming feature parity.
Pricing needs a live check
A vendor-authored comparison reports AffiliateX Pro starting at $69 per year for one site or $199 lifetime for one site, and AAWP starting at €79 per year or €299 lifetime for one site, with AAWP API service billed separately. These are time-sensitive vendor-comparison figures, not independently verified current checkout prices. Before purchasing, confirm currency, taxes, site count, renewal terms, lifetime-license conditions, and any separate API charges on the relevant checkout pages. How to make the final choice
- Pick AffiliateX if Elementor support, its listed block types, built-in click analytics or broken-link checking, or the stated eBay and AliExpress integrations match your requirements.
- Pick AAWP if its Amazon-oriented product boxes, lists, tracking links, caching, geotargeting, or shortcode workflow suit how you publish.
- Check both options directly if your decision depends on current API access, data freshness, license limits, or total cost; those terms can change.
- Test on your own site if speed or revenue is the deciding factor. The cited product pages do not provide an independent head-to-head performance or conversion comparison. Use comparable pages and traffic conditions, and do not assume either plugin will increase earnings.
