Experiment with Fusion Build
Fusion Build lets you combine items to alter your defensive setup. Try different combinations against the map’s enemy approach and the demands of its objective. The game’s official description supports experimenting with fused defenses, but does not establish a single best recipe for every stage.
How do you adapt defenses to each level?
Read the objective before placing traps, turrets, or blocks. Aegis Defenders is not always a fixed-base defense: the official store description notes scenarios involving moving targets and targets with interactive abilities. A defense that works in one encounter may not suit a target that moves or acts dynamically.

- Identify exactly what must be protected and how it behaves.
- Watch where enemies approach from, then adjust the placement and combination of defenses to that route.
- Reconsider your setup when the target or encounter changes rather than repeating one build automatically.
When should you switch characters?
Character swapping, positioning, and passive abilities are core systems, according to the official store description. Switch deliberately: use the character whose position or ability best addresses the immediate threat, and reposition rather than staying fixed on one character. The right response depends on the encounter; the available sources do not establish a universal character rotation.
