Its feature set is promising for cooks who use long pans or want to move a pot between temperature settings, but there is an important practical catch: the unit is hardwired and has a published connected load of 7.35 kW. Check your kitchen’s cut-out and electrical supply before treating it as a straightforward replacement.

What is the AEG NII63R00FB?
It is a built-in, 60cm induction cooktop in AEG’s 6000 Series. Unlike a conventional layout of three separate circular zones, it pairs a flexible cooking area on the left with a large, 280mm zone on the right. AEG lists FlexiBridge, PowerSlide, Hob2Hood, PowerBoost, pause, child lock and individual zone timers among its features. These are manufacturer specifications, not claims based on hands-on testing.

How the cooking zones and features work
FlexiBridge: a more adaptable left side
AEG says FlexiBridge can combine cooking areas for a large skillet or divide the area for multiple dishes. That flexibility may suit oblong pans better than a layout limited to individual round zones. The manual should guide cookware placement and use of the flexible area; do not assume every pan will heat evenly in every arrangement.
PowerSlide: three preset temperature areas
PowerSlide lets a pot be moved between three preset temperature zones, according to AEG. It is intended to make it easier to change heat by shifting the pan rather than repeatedly adjusting a control. The available specifications do not establish how precisely it holds a temperature or how the feature performs in independent testing.
PowerBoost and published zone ratings
The product sheet lists the left-front FlexiBridge section at 2,300 W, with a 3,200 W boost rating, and the left-rear section at 2,300 W. The right-front zone is listed at 1,800 W and 280mm in diameter. These are published specifications; they do not by themselves show real-world boil times or low-heat performance.

Hob2Hood and other controls
AEG describes Hob2Hood as adjusting a compatible rangehood’s settings based on cooking. Compatibility matters: the listing does not mean the cooktop will control any hood. Confirm that the specific hood supports the feature. The cooktop also lists pause, child lock and zone timers; consult the model manual for operation and settings.
Will it fit an existing cooktop opening?
The October 2024 installation guide gives the cooktop’s external dimensions as 590 × 520 × 48 mm and the cut-out as 560 × 490 × 44 mm. A nominal 60cm opening is not enough to confirm fit: measure the actual cut-out and compare it with the exact installation instructions.
The dimension guide is not a substitute for the complete installation manual. An installer should also check ventilation clearances and the surrounding cabinetry against the manual’s requirements before fitting the appliance.

The NII63R00FB is worth considering if you want a three-zone induction cooktop with a flexible left-side cooking area and are likely to use larger or oblong pans. PowerSlide and Hob2Hood may also be useful if their specific operating style and compatible equipment suit your kitchen.
It is a less compelling choice if you need a simple plug-in swap, cannot meet the electrical requirements, or require published independent performance scores before buying. Compare alternatives on actual cut-out fit, connection requirements, zone layout, independent low- and high-heat results, boil time, any power-limitation settings, service availability, warranty and the full installed cost.
