To add a Pinterest profile to a manual-mode site, place the Social icons element on the page, add your profile URL as a social link, and update the website. This creates a clickable profile link; it does not install Pinterest advertising tracking.
How to add your Pinterest profile link
- In the editor, open Add elements and add the Social icons element to the page.
- Select the element and choose Edit social icons.
- Choose Add New Link, enter your Pinterest profile URL, and click the tick to confirm. The Pinterest logo is added automatically.
- Update the website to publish the change.
Use the URL for your Pinterest profile. The instructions do not specify a required URL format or account-type or plan prerequisites for adding this profile link. See the manual-mode Pinterest instructions for the current editor steps.

Profile links, Pinterest widgets, and tags do different jobs
- Profile link: The social icon takes visitors to your Pinterest profile. This is the standard way to display your account on the site.
- Widget: To embed Pinterest content, create a widget with Pinterest Widget Builder, then insert its embed code using the editor’s Embed code element. This is separate from adding a profile icon.
- Pinterest tag: This is for measuring advertising activity, not linking visitors to your profile. Its setup uses a Pinterest Business account and custom code.
If you meant Pinterest ad tracking
The tag requires a separate setup: create it in Pinterest using the manual setup flow, then add the base code and the PageVisit event code in the site editor. For custom snippets, the editor path is More (ellipsis) → Integrations → Custom code. The editor places meta, link, and style tags in the head, and scripts, noscript elements, and iframes at the end of the body. Update the site after adding the code; changes appear in preview and on the live site after updating.
