ActiveCampaign vs Reach: Key Email Marketing Differences for 2026

ActiveCampaign offers a broader documented automation and CRM toolkit; Reach focuses on AI-assisted email marketing and Hostinger-connected workflows. Compare plan limits and integrations before choosing.
Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

ActiveCampaign is the better fit for teams that need layered marketing automation, CRM-connected sales workflows, and advanced segmentation; Reach is aimed at simpler AI-assisted email marketing, especially for businesses using Hostinger websites or stores. Neither is a universal winner: compare the specific plans, list size, sending needs, seats, integrations, and add-ons you would actually use.

Which automation and sales workflows do you need?

Choose ActiveCampaign when marketing connects to sales

If a campaign should trigger follow-up based on customer behavior, feed context to a sales team, or fit into a broader CRM process, ActiveCampaign is the more natural candidate in the documented feature set. Its plans differ meaningfully: the Help Center overview, last updated August 20, 2026, lists Starter, Plus, Professional, and Enterprise. Starter includes one user seat, up to 25,000 contacts, email marketing automation, basic ecommerce integrations, and no more than five actions in an automation. Higher tiers add functions such as multichannel automation, advanced segmentation and reporting, conditional content, predictive sending, and premium CRM integrations. Check ActiveCampaign’s tier overview before choosing.

Do not assume that the Starter contact allowance means every contact volume or workflow is included at the same price: pricing varies with plan and contact volume, and higher-level functions are tier-dependent. Confirm the exact quote and seat count for your account.

Choose Reach when email is the main job

Reach is positioned for creating and managing email campaigns, growing an audience, tracking performance, and setting up email automations, with particular emphasis on connections to Hostinger websites and commerce products. See Reach’s product description. If your needs are mostly newsletters or straightforward campaigns rather than a sales pipeline and layered automation, this narrower focus may be sufficient.

What Reach’s published limits mean

Hostinger Help Center materials accessed October 7, 2026 describe a free plan with up to 200 emails and 100 unique recipients per month, with one-year free access. Paid-plan documentation lists the following monthly capacity figures:

Reach plan label Unique subscribers Emails
Free 100 per month 200 per month
Reach 2,500 2,500 17,500
Reach 5,000 5,000 35,000
Reach 10,000 10,000 70,000
Reach 50,000 50,000 350,000

These are vendor-published plan limits, not deliverability guarantees or promises of results. Confirm the current allowance and price in the plan details before you commit, since limits and pricing can change.

Check integrations before migrating or buying

Integration availability is especially important if your store, website, or CRM is central to the decision. Reach’s materials describe Hostinger-connected workflows and platform-specific integrations, but its product landing page labels some WooCommerce functions “Coming soon,” while Help Center articles describe setup paths. That discrepancy means a setup article alone should not be treated as proof that a feature is currently available for every plan or account.

  • List the exact ecommerce, website, CRM, and other services your workflows depend on.
  • Verify each required integration’s present availability, supported actions, and plan requirements in current product documentation or your account.
  • For a migration, confirm how contacts, consent status, tags or segments, and automation logic will transfer before switching.

ActiveCampaign’s tier overview also distinguishes basic ecommerce integrations from premium CRM integrations, so check the plan-level entitlement rather than relying on a general integration list. Review its plan overview.

Compare the cost of the plan you will actually use

A single starting price is not a reliable comparison. ActiveCampaign pricing varies by contact volume and plan; Reach publishes distinct capacity tiers. For both, the relevant cost is the current price for your list size, monthly send volume, needed features, and user count, plus any add-ons or billing terms that apply. Check current pricing directly: ActiveCampaign pricing and Reach product details.

Before deciding, compare the following against your actual requirements:

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  • Contact count and expected monthly email volume.
  • Number of users who need access and each plan’s seat allowance.
  • Automation complexity, action limits, and triggers needed.
  • CRM, ecommerce, website, and other integrations that must work.
  • Segmentation, reporting, personalization, and non-email channels required.
  • Add-ons, billing frequency, onboarding, and migration assistance.

How to treat the AI claims

Both vendors describe AI-assisted features: ActiveCampaign lists campaign or content functions and plan-dependent predictive capabilities, while Reach describes campaign and template generation. Those descriptions do not establish comparative quality, accuracy, time saved, or campaign results. If AI assistance is important, test the workflows and outputs you expect to use and check which tier includes them; do not choose on the basis of AI labels alone.

Which one should you choose?

  • Favor ActiveCampaign if your priority is connecting marketing activity with CRM and sales processes, or if you need more advanced automation, segmentation, and analytics available in higher tiers.
  • Favor Reach if your priority is AI-assisted email marketing with audience and campaign tools, and your business already relies on Hostinger site or store workflows.
  • Compare both plans closely if you have a growing list, multiple users, ecommerce requirements, or workflows that depend on integrations. The platform name alone does not tell you which plan covers those needs.
